This is a superb unit that does exactly what it says on the tin.

We have connected the unit to a telephone on our Alcatel 4200 telephone system. It is extremely easy to set up as it simply plugs it into a phone. There is no telephone or PBX programming required. Once the unit is plugged in it is extremely easy to use, it simply requires the touch of a single button.

The microphone on this unit is very sensitive and can easily pick up a whisper from well over 10 feet away. The speakers are also excellent. You can change the mic and speaker levels from the default, but once you have them set at comfortable levels you won't have to touch them again. There is also a handy one-touch 'trim' button to eliminate any feedback/echo.

One of the main advantages of this unit is that it piggy-backs onto an exisitng phone. Apart from making the unit a lot cheaper, this also means it doesn't have to take up a dedicated port on your switch which could prove very useful if you are at (or near) full capacity.

Overall this is an excellent product, well worth the money, and one that I'd highly recommend.

There's a few trailing wires (a power cable from the unit to your wall socket, then you have to plug your handset into a switchbox, then the switchbox into your telephone, and the unit into the switchbox), but if you don't mind that, then the actual product is very good. The sound quality is very good and it picks up speech clearly from across the room. The unit itself looks very neat. If you don't want to pay the extra couple of hundred pounds for a unit with an integral telephone and you don't mind the trailing wires, then this is an very good choice.

We purchased a Konftel 50 and it worked flawlessly with our office phone system with its simple plug and play installation. We loved the outstanding sound quality on this one.
