Canon’s business machines division is responsible for coming out with copying machines, computer peripherals, and business systems. Canon has also entered the digital displays market by collaborating with Toshiba to develop and manufacture flat panel televisions based on SED, a new type of display technology. Plans are also afoot for the company’s entry into the projection television market as well. There is also a Canon software subsidiary which provides IT services, software for use with Canon products, business applications, and outsourced software services.
