Top phone from BT
Mr. Mark Ford
I bought this phone after reading other reviews for this model. I was not dissapointed at all. But as others have said, make sure your phone point is near a mains socket or do not buy this model. I set up the basics very quick and then downloaded my mobile phone sim card to it (unplug your phone during this). It changed all my +44 numbers to 0 for land line use. I can now see names against the caller number. I have even changed ringing tones for friends and family to identify them easier still. From a choice of traditional and polyphonic tones, there are plenty to choose from. Hands free is very good. Nice and clear, far better than some I have used. Overall very impressed with the phone and recomend it.

Good Quality from BT

Excellent product. With a large phone book and being able to download and upload numbers to and from a Sim Card is very convenient. Very large number display with a bright backlight makes it easy to read the names and numbers with ease. I would highly recommend this telephone.

Review of BT Relate 2100

The phone works well with plenty of volume for handsfree and a good audio response. SIM-card functions are also good, if rather slow in operation; with some odd results appearing when inputting spurious (and unknown) characters from my PC SIM-card software However there was nothing that could not be put right easily. 'Write-to-SIM-card' works fine. I would appreciate a more sophisticated 'search-directory' function, whereby a search could proceed on the continuing input of search characters - a sort of 'autocomplete' ability. This unit is replacing and Amstrad eMailer which is very smart in this area. As to Caller-ID, my service provider (talktalk) has not yet switched it on, so I cannot comment on its use. Neither have I used any of the other functions, like SMS sending and receiving. In many ways this will be a more economical unit than the eMailer3 because it does not poll constantly for email, and also cannot receive an unstoppable flood of spam. Its large memory is useful and the ability to store one's phone book, very valuable. Thank you.

BT Relate 2100
Mr. Sandor Vaci
This is an excellent telephone but it is my second one. The first broke down after a mere 15 months of use and as these things can not be repaired (or the time spent would cost more than a replacement) I have bought another. A shame. The SIM card reader is especially useful. |
