No choice with this answering machine(ie the only simple answering machine available), however it does everything required satisfactorily, and is easy to set up.

This is a very simple device to operate. However, I found it necessary to turn the answering function off during working hours because the maximum six rings for the machine to answer the call is just too short a space of time for someone to answer the phone sometimes. Often, you fumble for the phone and answer the call just as the answering machine starts playing its message. It can lead to embarassing incidents, such as when someone answers a call while they are on a cordless phone out of the office and the person calling them does not realise that even though they got through to speak to a real person, their private comments are being both broadcast and recorded by the answering machine in the office.

This is a superb piece of kit. It has many fetures but is not complicated to operate as the voice tells you what you have done. Excellent for the technically advanced and the imbecile!
