Jacob Jensen T1 Designer Telephone

I had first spotted this telephone in the 'Love Actually' film. The simplicity of the styling, the neat and compact design, I thought, I gotta have one! It took a while to track down since it's only a short clip where you see it in the film but I eventually sussed it was a Jacob Jensen. The moment you see the box that it arrives in and you say to yourself, I'm gonna keep the box too, you know the design is superior. It is very minimalistic, very easy to use and despite being an analogue telephone, it has beaten my old digital phone hands down on quality of sound. If you want to store loads of contacts and be able to read the numbers in a phone book style mini screen then this aint the phone for you. However, if you want the epitomy of style, clean lines and great looks, a slower pace of life where you might just want to look through an actual phone book for a number or two then this is the one for you. It has the ability to store numbers but I rather like the idea of slowing down a little bit more to take time to speak to people. Pure class.

This is a lovely phone. I know a phone isn't something to get necessarily worked up about but its design and ease of use has to be applauded. For instance, I know when I hang-up I'm not going to have to do a double-take because the designer never thought about a proper phone hook...the unit has a solidity which says it all. I bought this analogue phone as we live in the sticks and have constant power cuts which remind us that all the features on our digital phones don't amount to a hill of beans! Setting up this phone was literally plug and play and the clarity of sound seems excellent - a welcome improvement as our telephone lines are constantly under attack by squirrels and we need all the help we can get. I now have Jacob Jensen earrings and a phone too. Versatile chap.

A good little phone. Looks smart and has an excellent sound quality. I've just put 10 of these into a £4.5m house, and the owners think they 'fit in' nicely.
The only problem I have encountered is that to mount these onto the wall, the fitting is, at best, a bit loose. It won't fall off, but won't sit firm either. But, all in all, a very nice bit of kit.
