The Gigaset S44 is the handset for lovers of efficient technology. It is the extra handset for the Siemens S645, S445 and S440 models. It unites voice dialling with superior sound quality and enhanced handsfree talking. Really handy is its voice-announced caller-ID: you will immediately hear who is calling as long as your caller’s name and number are stored in the phone directory of the Gigaset basestation. People who work a lot on the phone will appreciate it: The Gigaset S44 helps manage your daily life with an advanced data exchange function for the phonebook. Just connect it to your computer via the Siemens Data Cable and update your phone book on the Gigaset S44 with the Outlook ® contacts on your PC with the Siemens Data Suite software. This Gigaset S44 is the extra handset which can be used with the S440, S445 and the S645 cordless phones.

Ligo Customer Service is the Star, 20th Oct 2005

An S44 is an S44. It does its job well but when you have the siemens gigaset base station it somewhat cuts down on your options if you want to use all the base station facilities! (The whole set-up is very good - although Siemens is a tad pricey for domestic but quality of build is superior so is better VFM for business.)

What's more important is the time and effort Ligo spent with me on presales advice. (I had a difficult problem to resolve in terms of merging ISDN, DECT and SKYPE technologies.) When they found that the kit I needed wasn't distributed by Siemens in the UK, they found a source in Europe for me - even though there was no sale for them.

I've since bought the peripherals from Ligo. They're not always the cheapest but the ongoing advice was first class
