Siemens Gigaset C34P Additional Handset

My daughter just turned fourteen last week and we gave this as a birthday present to use in her room. We have an existing Siemens SL 565 base station and handset and we wanted to buy a compatible gigaset handset but at a much lower cost. Since my daughter has a lot of use for the SMS function, this fitted the bill: nothing too complicated, no fancy coloured screens or Bluetooth connectivity or whatnot, but with enough features to keep our girl happy and satisfied.
We placed the order two days before her birthday and I was afraid it wouldn’t arrive in time, but ligo delivered it earlier than I had expected. You can imagine for yourself the kind of smile on my daughter’s face.
Registering the additional handset took us several tries before working. It requires a good re-reading (or two) of the base station manual. But otherwise it works fine.

I ordered this additional handset as expansion to my Gigaset S645 system at home. It is working quite well and well interfaced with the rest of handsets / base.
