Great gadget. And works perfectly. They should get a licence from Universal to manufacture them in the shape of Star Trek Comm Badges, because that's effectively what it is!

Simple and effective. Wore it working around house and garden and answered calls without effort. Clearly heard speaker and they heard me, although they could tell it was not the normal handset.
Bad points None - but if picky, this could sell more by making it attractive to wear rather than just functional. After all, that's what they did with mobiles and glasses.

Does exactly what it said in your product info, easy to set up and perfect for allowing me to continue tasks whilst taking a call
Bad points if it has a negative then the conversation can be heard further away than I expected by a third party Other thoughts generally excellent and importantly not at all intrusive unlike other headsets etc

Good points
Simple, lightweight and works well.
Bad points Supplied with instructions in German only, but easy enough to find English pdf on the web. I have scored features low, and this is really by design - the features that are there work well. Finally, even at the good discount offered by LiGo, it is quite expensive for what it is.

Good points
Light and pocketable, easy to use, good sound quality.
Bad points Instruction manual in German only, hence low score above for ease of set up. Need to log onto Gigaset website for English version. Not fully compatible with S795 phone, again required researching Gigaset website and some experimentation to identify the range of available functions. Other thoughts Initially disappointed due to poor supplied information on set up and lack of detail on functionality with S795 phone. (Tip: Use of phone "Listening In" function allows L410 to be used when making a call, better than the convoluted procedure suggested in the manual for phones that are not fully compatible). Now that I have sussed how it works I am really very pleased and it accompanies me around the house. Clip it on when out in the garden or garage and never miss a call. A small Caller ID window (on the volume bar?) would be useful.

Light and comfortable to use much nicer than carrying the phone around all the time and it can answer calls directly. Sound quality OK. Good battery life and easy to setup
Bad points The one click which the adverts talk about only works on a few Gigaset models. Not as inferred all phones. If your base supports a listen in feature (and assuming you want this feature turned on - Many don't) then it can be done with a click on the L410 and then hanging up on the main phone but this involves handling both devices and you get a feedback whistle while doing it if not very careful. If you don't have the listen in feature then it is rather inconvenient to transfer to and from the clip. Other thoughts It appears a bit expensive for what it is but as its currently a niche market so I can understand this. Purchased product only came with German instructions. Power adapter was European but a UK adapter was supplied. If you have a base which supports the 1 click then go and buy it - But its not easy to find which bases support it fully. 28th Oct 2011
The manual is available on this website as well.

A must for us who can't really hold a phone, lightweight, so easy to use, looks great, beats my old headset hands down.
Another great product from Siemens Bad points Sometimes I cannot really hear the callers voice but that could be age! Other thoughts Incredibly affordable, allows me to carry on with my work using both hands.

This has solved 2 problems. 1.I never used to be able to find a handset because people don't return them to the base when finished. Now I just clip this to my jumper and can answer immediately. 2. I have a relative who likes to talk for a long time on the phone. Now I have 2 hands free to get on with things while she talks!

A unique solution that means you can take landline calls and remain hands free. The clip that attaches the device to your clothing is strong and the device itself is lightweight. It's an excellent companion to your Gigaset DECT handsets.
Bad points The battery life is alright, but runs out over the course of a day. As long as you put it back on the cradle every day, it's not a problem. Other thoughts A great product. |
