Bought my base unit (same model, SL56) from a store and my whole family liked it so much that we wanted to buy an additional handset. My brother-in-law recommended liGo to me and I was impressed by the discounts offered. I would have saved 10% of the purchase price of my original unit if I had bought it from here. I was a bit dissatisfied though when I was setting up the additional handset because even though I had followed the instructions, the base station wasn’t recognizing the handset. I repeated the process a couple of times and finally got it working. As I said, my family and I are very satisfied with the telephone and we use most of its features. A good buy.

Great handset

As per my comments regarding the matching base station / answer machine, this works exactly as you would expect it. The bluetooth does work and is a nice bonus.

The somewhat hefty price tag of this handset is made up by the features that it comes with. The Bluetooth is a nice touch: I think that given some time, I can find more ways to use the Bluetooth aside from just loading ringer tunes from my PC to the handset. Another clever feature is the picture ID function, which means you can copy via Bluetooth and store a photo for a contact and it will appear as his or her caller ID. As is customary with siemens, installing the handset to your base station is fairly easy and, unlike other so-called GAP-capable telephones, this is actually GAP capable and compatible across brands, or at least is easier to use across brands than others. Last clever feature that I fancy is the vibra mode. Comes in quite handy when you need to take a call but you have to be discreet about it.

Good points
This is a very good quality phone and has some great little features, especially liked the fact that you can have a shortcut to things like the alarm, so that you can set it quickly.
Bad points Would be nice if you could have a way of dimming the screen saver. Other thoughts Would be good if the screen saver could be a clock.

Good looking phone. The sound quality is excellent. Some great features most of which l don't use! The dock looks vulnerable but we have had the main set for three years and there is no sign of being even slightly damaged (l have three young children who have thoroughly tested it).
Bad points Some of the buttons are a little fiddly if you have big fingers. Other thoughts The best phone l have ever used by a country mile. It is expensive but worth every penny. |
