BT Diverse 6210 with Plantronics Headset

The BT Diverse 6210 cordless phone was a best buy in the the Consumer Association's Which? magazine, so I'd specifically targeted this or something of equivalent price/spec to purchase. I wasn't disappointed - sound quality is excellent and the DECT technology has completely solved the noisy - and often embarrassing - interference we'd been getting from our (analogue) cordless. The phone itself is comfortable to use and well designed with excellent features. We bought the package that included the Plantronics wireless headset as we are a busy family with many voluntary commitments, so we'd get very little done if we had to hold a phone for the numerous daily calls and try to get on with other jobs. Although the Diverse has a (corded) headset included, the convenience of the Plantronics cordless is well worth it - you can pick up and end calls with a click of a button without having to go near the base unit. Again - sound quality is excellent from this unit. The two units are from different manufacturers, so the headset needs to be registered with the base unit. Obviously the instructions in the headset manual can't give specific details about the base unit (it will work with any DECT compatible base unit), so a bit of re-reading of both manuals was required on my part to get it registered. I'm new to DECT technology yet managed it without great difficulty. If I were to be ultra-critical, the Diverse has a rather limited range of ring tones and most were either too shrill, or not my scene (you may love the Simpsons, but you'll tire of that tune before long!). On the whole, though, this is a great package and represents excellent value for money. I'd recommend it to anyone.

Quite pleased with the package - not much to say about the phone - it's a phone, it rings people!
I am struggling with the headset a bit, it is difficult to keep on and a bit of a fiddle to transfer calls between it and the handset, but on the whole an improvement as it leaves my hands free and has stopped the neck crick from wedging the phone between my shoulder and ear.

Delivered within a few days. Very easy to set up and register headset to phone. Took me a little time to work out how to transfer calls to the headset but practice helps.
