BT Diverse 6410 with GN 9120 Wireless

The BT phone seems fine but is so ugly we found another home for it. The headset set-up process is very simple but made very complicated by lack of straightforward instructions; even GN support didn't have the right product information to hand. So here you are: 1./ initial charging takes a day, not an hour. 2./ don't worry, only power plugs into the base, there is nothing else. 3./ take the headset off charger and press the 3 tiny buttons PERFECTLY SIMULTANEOUSLY and hold for 6secs UNTIL INTERNAL RED LIGHT IN EARPIECE IS FLASHING even though GN say there isn't one. 4./ now press DECT handset base station button as per it's instructions. You're paired. 5./ answer an incoming call straight with headset if you like, but unless you wear it anyway as a hairband, don't expect to hear any ringing. 6./ with our DECT handset, the call is not open and must be specifically transferred/conferenced to other handsets/headset - you can't join in just by pressing the tiny middle button. Range and clarity of headset so far is very good. NB probably not best left in kitchen where excited jammy fingers squabble for headset ownership. Really, it's a piece of all day office kit. Very funny watching people wandering around the house trying to find something to do with both hands now they have a wireless headset.
