BT DIVERSE 6450 TRIO WITH GN NETCOM 9120 WIRELESS HEADSET REVIEW
Please help others like you with just one click! Just click 'yes' or 'no' to indicate if a review you read was helpful. This information is invaluable to us. This is a truly great bit of kit. It has some really useful and practical features. The SIM card reader is simple to use and the ability to transfer the whole directory from one handset to another will save you hours of programming. Lots of features for ring tones and wallpapers, if you like that kind of thing. The headset is easy to program to the base station, easy-to-use and wonderfully clear, I love it. The only downside is the feel of the handsets, when will they produce a home telephone with the quality feel of a mobile?
Regards Mr. Philip Tribe Very happy with the performance of the phone, though it hasn't resolved the major problem I have with my home phone network - that since I installed BT Broadband talk, I have lost caller ID on my incoming calls to my old phone number (as opposed to the new Broadban number). I had hoped that a new BT phone product would solve this but it looks like the router can't cope with that level of complexity. The headset was an expensive option but has already proven to be a huge hit in our household. You can't believe how much it frees you up when you're doing stuff like cooking and the phone rings. My main complaint with it relates to how far you can stray from the base station and retain a signal. I'm sure the literature claims 200m but if I'm in my garden at home (approx 30 m from the base station, but admittedly through 4 walls, two of which are external walls) the signal drops out. I would have awarded 5 stars but for the following:-
- distance you can roam from the base station - ringer volume needs to go higher - the caller ID problems with BT Broadband Talk, which render the caller ID functions, including photos, useless - switchng calls to the headset is a bit cumbersome.
