Good points
The best system I have ever bought - Great display, features and design - its like have all the features of a mobile phone on your house phones!
Bad points Instruction manual is on disk and 186 pages long and unfortunately not well written. I bought the phones partly because I learned from the siemens website that you can transfer your MS outlook or Outlook express contacts straight to the phones however there was no mention of this in the manual! I didn't give up! I found a download program (quicksync) on the siemens site which allows you to syncronise your outlook contacts with the siemens handsets just like they said you could. Why was this software not on the disc? There was not even a mention in the manual that Outlook contacts could even be transferred! Once I installed the sync software I realised that although my pc and the handsets were linked together (via router) you could not actually sync the contacts via this link. The only way the sync software works is via bluetooth between the PC and the handsets. I had to go out and by a bluetooth USB device as my pc isn't equipped with bluetooth. Once I had done all this the sync software worked beautifully. Now if I amend my contacts list on either my handsets or my PC the software syncs will sync the two address books easily everytime. I was amazed that although you can access your phone system from your pc (via the router) that you can't actually sysnc your address books via this method! Bad points aside I fully recommend this system, its more advanced that any other system I have seen or researched. Other thoughts Well done Ligo - I ordered my phones and received them the next day - great service |
