1st class Service
Mr. Brian Moor
Product functions very well but the instruction book is a nightmare . It should be rewritten so that all the least used phone functions are left to the end of the book, it is too complicated to follow when trying to set up initially. Ist class service from Ligo Elextronics

Easy to use, good features
Mr. Phil McKerracher
The base station is attractive and simple to use (essential for elderly relative). The answering machine works well and answering can be delayed for up to 7 rings. Some settings can only be reached from the cordless handset. Remote setting is possible but laborious. No basestation batteries needed, but it won't work in a power cut. The cordless handset also works well, with useful features such as automatically answering a call when removed from the charger (no button press, but optional).

I decided on the Panasonic KXTCD 545 as a replacement for an Amstrad Emailer which costs a lot to run. The latter has the advantage of allowing easy storage through the keypad, and transportability of its dockit attachment. The Panasonic has all the signs of quality design and materials. The base station has a good footprint, very important on the cluttered desk. I have not yet been able to access all its features, and have not felt completely at home with its rather cumbersome method of having to enter names etc by the numeric keypad. I like the variety of ring tones and its good reception over quite a distance. The extra features, such as the capacity to work as a walkie talkie, the ability to transfer calls, and its compact handset, give good value for the price, but I still hanker for an easier way of entering data. |
