top notch
Henry
This phone seemed pricey at first but proved that it’s certainly worth it. First, what other phone can beat the range of features? They’re not useless features; I’m sure most people will get to use them all. I don’t like the polyphonic tones, but that’s more a matter of personal taste really. Don’t be fooled by the picture. It may look bulky, but it definitely isn’t. At the same time, it’s not a foppish phone; it’s robust and tough. Belt clips are usually flimsy afterthoughts for some companies, but the clip on this is strong and sturdy. Good one, Panasonic. I keep the phone clipped to my belt even while sawing or carrying big loads. The exterior is tops. Don’t misunderstand me, a lot of the features of this phone are top notch, but nothing beats the splash-proof and dust-proof finish. Sawdust used to scratch off the finish of my old cordless, but not any longer. I’m considering buying ligo’s quad offer. Amazing value, it’s definitely worth the hundred quid. The other bloke before me said it right, though, it would’ve been even better if it could read a mobile SIM card.

good overall, save for the display
Abbie
I’m satisfied with this telephone. The features seem a bit overwhelming at first but they all come in handy. What I like best is that it streamlines my telephone needs. I no longer need to have an answering machine and a little phone directory beside my unit. The battery life and range are as advertised. The interface took me a bit of getting used to, maybe because I’m used to gadgets with icon-based interfaces. But once you get used to it, using this phone is a breeze. Delivery was quick, and it was easy for me to monitor the shipment progress thru ligo. With so many good features, I would have expected a better display than a 3-line, black and white, dot-matrix! I paid a competitive price and it seems to me that other phones in the same price range have better displays than this Panasonic. The display isn’t very sharp in bright light, so when I’m outdoors at high noon, the display is not very useful for me and makes the text messaging function less useful.

the right phone at last
Mr. Robert MacDonald
After searching for some time for a phone suitable for our factory environment, we came across the KXTCD 290 ET. It has proved to be strong enough for the rigours of a manufacturing unit and clear enough to hear even next to our biggest machines working at 90 decibels. We bought 3 as a result of the initial test, so thanks we are delighted with the phone.

Product as described. Relatively easy to use with most of the menu items working intuitively. I have several Panasonic items and find that most of them are designed with ease of use as a high priority. Good functionality. Would like ability to read mobile simm to ease entry of numbers but this is carping on a good product. |
