PANASONIC KX-TG 8120 CORDLESS PHONE REVIEW
Superb!,

I have had several answerphones of other makes, but can honestly say that the KX-TG8120 is light years ahead of any of them. I have been delighted by its user friendly controls and the superb specification with the wide range of facilities. I have never liked the very poor 'compressed' speech quality of the outgoing message on phones like the BT range and was delighted to find that this Panasonic permits recording in one's 'natural' voice, exactly the same as its normal high quality handling of voices in conversation. Thoroughly recommended.

Easy to use & a magnitude of facilities. Sound quality, access of base unit from handset, speakerphone, caller list, night time mute, personal directory, VDU............ all first class state of the art functions.

The things I like about this phone is that it is comfortable to hold and easy to use. The dialling buttons work nicely and everything so far works as it should (I haven't tried everything yet). I find the features easy to use and fairly intuitive. There is nothing I dislike about it and would definitley recommend it

Clear, intuitive, displays, easy to use. It was simple to register the compatible handsets I already had to the new base, and to copy across the phone book from old to new. Using the answerphone is equally simple. The best dect phone I've ever had. Not the cheapest but easily the best value.

This phone was quick and easy to setup. The additional features, such as alarm and text messaging ,were not to numerous and simple to use.

The Panasonic KX-TG 8120 is the best cordless phone I have had so far. with the large 200 phonebook to store all my contacts leaving room for more, very easy to use and with a backlight and faily large display,which I find very usefull when I wish to monitor who is calling and do not have to turn the lights up to see. the answering machine is also easy to use and plays back messages clearly.

The phone does everything it says in the spec. It is easy to set up, although I expected the navigation around the menu to be almost exactly like my mobile and it wasnt. You soon get used to this however. The colours for the sreen are a bit naff and only one of the ringtones is any good. Having said that it does everything I want in a home phone at an affordable price

I've had these phones for a few days and very nice they are too. Just a note to reviewer below on how to turn off backlight. This bothered me too for a while, but here's the solution. Go to menu items: Settings > Display > Backlight. For here you can set the backlight stay off/on when in cradle or off/on when out of cradle.

This is a lovely product, as all other Panasonic products are in my expereience.
I chose this cordless phone and base unit because I liked its elegant lines, neat compact style and silver colour. The instructions that came with it were simple and well-laid out, which made it easy to understand, install, set up and use the phone and base unit. Regards M. Galena

I have only been using this phone ( with extra handsets ) , for two weeks, but so far I can thourghly recomend it. After some considerable time looking at various handsets with the features I required, it came down to this one and the Philips cd5353. The main reason for going with the Panasonic is the 200 entry phonebook, compaired with the miserly 50 in the philips.
A great feature of this phone system is the ability to set up the handsets independantly of each other, each with their own phonebook, catagories, ringtones and ringer settings incuding night mode. This is ideal if you want to give a handset to a younger member of the family but still want to restrict or monitor when it`s being used. The only thing that I do not like about the phones is that they feel a bit light and plasticy rather than have a quality feel, oh and the LED screen stays lit while in the charger. These are miner personal dislikes. This range of phones are ideal for any family or even small buisness where flexability and a wide range of features is important. Regards Andy Baldie

Everything you could want from a cordless. Great sound quality and it really is a plug in and use product. You can navigate most things from the handset menu which I've managed to do without even looking at the manual - it's that simple.
My one con would be that the ringtones range from bearable to bloody annoying. I prefer an old fashioned ring tone, but that's just me. Still, a fine phone otherwise. Regards David Allison

My wife and I, both in our late 60s, bought this phone after years of frustration with others. In the end when our last phone packed up we spent a long time looking for a replacement. We came up with this Panasonic and are we pleased we did.
It was a dodle to set up, the phone book being particularly good, the sound is great and the screen, if possible, even better. There are things on the phone we will never use but all the basics and more are really good. I must mention the answer machine, which again was very easy to set up and use. Nice and easy to use phone. Very clear sound and good range. Simple menu structure allows easy access to all functions. It replaced a similar but older Panasonic phone so upgrading was a piece of cake.

This is a great product and very easy to use. It's most useful feature to me is the call screening - ie you can hear a caller leaving a message and decide to take the call or not. Not many phones seem to do this nowadays. All the features are easy to use.

Upgraded my cordless,

I upgraded my cordless phone and chose this one after a short chat with a young man on the phone at ligo. I explained exactly what my requirements were and he recommended the Panasonic KX-TG 8120 Cordless Phone.
