Philips Zenia 300 Single review

The Zenia, and Ligo's service, did not disapoint me. I am far from a technophobe and love my gadgets. The Zenia has multiple choices for answering, on hook, off hook, silent mode and even Vibrate Mode, so there is an option for all. The main reasons for buying were Memo & In-call Record, plus the ability to take the handset in the bathroom with me; which is where I am everytime that important call comes in! My only niggle was a minor one, and that, as usual, is a poorly written manual which seems to have some of the Settings and Controls options left out! A quick email to Ligo and Nick replied with the solution. Overall, unbeatable value for such a small but feature packed telephone at rock-bottom prices. Thanks Ligo.

Nice phones with lots of features, only let down by badly written manual. I will by another handset. Good sound quality/reception and ability to use it as a speakerphone. Main reason I bought this was its possible to use the base to dial out from and recive calls on As our kids kept taking our other old dect phone to their rooms and then the batteries would go flat .... grrrr

I was looking for a DECT phone with a ansaphone I could access via the handset rather than just on a base station. This proved difficult enough, but in addition I needed to couple it with two DECT cordless headsets, and was struggling until Philips suggested the Zenia 300. It does all I need and more, looks pretty good, and at the 70% discount price it couldn't have been better! My only critisism is that for some reason the paging noise in the headsets will not work (they did with my previous BT phone), so you have to keep the handset within earshot.

This is a lot of telephone at the price paid and includes a base station answering facility.The phone has all the expected features and more. I have still to master all the feature I wish to use , some instructions are brief and some lack detail, but I hope practice will make perfect if not I shall have to contact the help service that is available

This unit is very innovative. For a small business like my own it gives me the opportunity to get on working while using the handsfree on the base unit (or the handset) yet pick up the cordless and wander round the office as well. Great value. Only fault I would find (and this may be down to the line quality) is the very tinny and crackly quality of my handset speaker. Has to be said that the supplier have offered to swap, but I prefer to give the phone the benefit of the doubt until the line is cleared as OK.

This new phone is more compact and has a better feel than the Onis Vox it replaces. The PQRS button still needs more than one attempt to get to S. I like the addition of a backlight and the use of a plug and socket battery, the pen cells in earlier models sometimes had contact problems. I use this single on my business line and an Onis Vox 300 Quad on a private line (one handset each) It is easy to switch the handsets between base stations and access 2 address books and lines, the handset automatically switches between bases if they are out of range of one, but cannot be set to switch to pick up an incoming call after a preset number of rings, how about it Philips?

Very nice phone which incidentally was delivered in quick time. The phone feels well made with lots of nice features. Very easy to use and excellent sound quality. I had a Philips Onis before and this is miles better.

It does not take up to much room on my computer desk
