Panasonic KXA 272 DECT Repeater review

Easy to set up, installed in a barn conversion right at the edge of range of the base station - it's provided coverage for the whole of the barn conversion! It also says in the CD online manual that this unit can be chained (repeater to repeater) up to three deep! (Although I haven't tried this!)

Having purchased the triple DECT phone unit KX-TCD200E I found the intercommunication between each unit throughout the house impossible. This is probably due to the construction of the building which is of stone and cement blocks. After installation of the KX A272 communiction its faultless. It is a pity that this unit had to be puchased as it is of considerable extra cost. The building is not large being a conversion of a stable/coach house. It would be of great help if the signal between each of the phones could be increased so avoiding this extra purchase.

Good product. Seems to work well and the registration was relatively simple in spite of documentation. The repeater's full documentation was on a CD - not especially helpful when setting it up elsewhere from where the computer is even assuming the purchaser has one. You also need to set repeater mode on at the Panasonic base unit - which is only mentioned at the back of the base unit documentation.

I found the service from Ligo very good except I did not receive a password as promised and had to prompt them for this in order to purchase more items and progress a later order. The DECT repeater performs very well and is easy to install. It sems to work in a loft at the recent temperatures of below zero althought the spec is only down to +5degC and gives excellent coverage over my garden of about 1 acre and in outside stone buildings with thick walls.

Great - simple, and it works, even through thick stone walls. Shame it's very expensive, and that they don't warn you you'll need it when buying the basic phones (or better still, make the coverage better on the basic phones).

We had tried a number of products in an attempt to get a signal through our 300 year old thick stone walls and to the buildilngs beyond. This panasonic phone with the DECT repeater has at last done the job! We need one more repeater for the other side of the property and finally, we will have total coverage. many thanks for your help and support!

So easy to set up, and it double the range nearly for us, so must be some 150m from home. Incessant Welsh rain has detered me from exploring to the maximum so far.

Very simple installation and set-up with thorough and accurate instructions. The performance of the repeater is excellent and the first month's operation has been faultless.

This product has enabled us to use 4 handsets from one base station in a difficult old building with very thick walls. Only problem was registration, as instructions did not cover our new phone set, and had to contact Panasonic for instructions, who were most helpful.

This DECT repeater works well although thick walls reduce the effective range (as with all wireless products). It is easy to install and setup to my Panasonic base station. It has achieved what I had hoped.

The box lists some of the Panasonic base stations it works with, but not all. I am glad to say that it was compatible with my TXD505 basestation, and it was a 5 minute job to set iy up and get it working.
