ARIA D-1 DECT CORDLESS PHONE REVIEW
Please help others like you with just one click! Just click 'yes' or 'no' to indicate if a review you read was helpful. This information is invaluable to us. Fabulous name. Aria. Looks good. I like the way the buttons stand out from the phone- making them easy to push, and the scroller button is a useful addition. I like the colour screen, but navigating through the menu is not as easy as it could be- for example, in the phonebook, there is no 'Back' option, like there usually is on a mobile phone menu, so you have to just press the red button and go all the way back to the start, which can get pretty annoying when sorting out your phone numbers. The facility of being able to transfer your numbers from your mobile phone is very useful and very easy to use once you've figured it out, as the instruction manual doesn't actually make it clear that the SIM card slot is on the bottom of the base station. The earpiece volume is not loud enough, so I just use the speakerphone instead, which is useful when waiting in an half-hour long queue to get through to BT (you don't get a sore arm from holding the phone). The intruction manual is difficult to understand due to the fact that the writers native language is not English and they need a few grammar lessons. Also, remember you can't get a signal if the electricity goes down, so better have an analogue phone to switch with just in case of an emergency. A nifty little phone, pleased with it in general.
Regards Julie A nice little handset... looks the part although could do with a slightly bigger screen or maybe bringing it forward a little..but for the money...what more could you ask for..
Like a mobile phone it goes into a standby mode when not in use, screen turns off etc but when on the base the screen stays lit and at full brightness...little bit annoying and makes me wonder about the life span of the screen..the Sim reader works fine but with modern mobile phones putting multiple numbers under one name, home phones (or At least this one) tend not to cope with this well at all. one last thing is the selection of ring tones, what happened to the good old fashioned Regards Mr. S Edy This was a good buy. It looks stylish and is very easy to use. With its colour screen it is like a mobile phone, and much easier than earlier generation cordless phones to programme. Recommended.
Regards Linda A very stylish phone with amazing features for just £50! All other telephones with sim card readers I’ve seen are at least £5 more expensive, and are definitely not as gorgeous as this phone. As the previous reviewer said, the sim card reader is a bit hard to find, but using it is a breeze once you’ve located it. I actually prefer this to other sim reader phones whose sim readers are on a unit or base station that’s separate from the handset and the charger--it can really clutter your table top. This Aria unit on the other hand is really minimalist. As the previous reviewer also said, my only gripe with this is that the manual wasn’t written by a native English speaker. But I managed to understand it anyway. Ligo’s service is terrific, as per usual.
