iDECT X1 Designer Phone review

This phone arrived witin 24 hrs. It is a super item very easy to programme and set up. I have no hesitation in recommending this product especialy to older persons as it is so clear and the ring and speach are easy to adjust to high levels if required.Thank you Ligo a super product swiftly sent .

D Mackie (2nd Jan) asked where to find the user manual for this excellent phone... I'm happy to say that Idect customer service is just as good as their products.

I imagine we cannot add direct links here so I'll describe how to find a copy online:
(1) go to the idectonline.com website
(2) select the "Products" list at the top of the page
(3) on the left you'll see "User manuals" under "Product supports"
(4) click on that, select your model from the list, and download the manual.

Everyone who has seen the phone has remarked on how good it looks. It is very easy to set up and use, even for someone like myself who is not really used to modern technology. I know it's sad, but I love this phone, it is stylish and is great to use. I particularly like the hands free cos I can get on with other stuff while continuing a conversation.

Only one thing, I've lost the instruction book etc. My daughter threw it out by mistake, can anyone out there help? There are features I would like to use but cant cos don't have the booket!

I love this phone, its small and neat, but not to small, all buttons are raised so even if you have larger fingers your not getting any miss dialing. no breakup of signal even through two thick granite walls. Feels comfortable in the hand, the white backlit display is exceptional. Easy to follow instruction booklet. I would recommend this phone.

The cordless phone looks very elegant, and there was no problem setting it up. Entering and using the memory is very simple. The only point to note is that the buttons are quite small and so an elderly person with rather clumsy fingers might have a problem.

it works great looks great and its size makes it rather unusual. i thought the small size of the keys on the keypad would be difficult to operate but they are not. and it was at a bargain price. what more can you reasonable ask for?

Purchased for my 90years old mother who is hard of hearing, not well sighted and with arthritic fingers. She loves it, especially the speakerphone and memory.

Very nice looks, good clear sound, useful but not huge phonebook. The small size adds to the appeal but with the only drawback i would mention that the keys are somewhat fiddly if you have big hands. Screen info is clear to view and presented logically. I am glad i bought this as it is great value at the price.

Very pleased with the phone in general. My main criticism concerns ringtones. Unless I'm missing something, I cannot dial up alternatives to the default setting. The one that I'm stuck with sounds like a small chicken being strangled.

This is a compact little phone with crystal clear sound and a good ring. It is simple to set up and is ready for use in no time. The instruction booklett provided gives a clear and unambiguous description of it's features and method of use and is readilly understood.
The phone uses 2/3AAA, 400ma batteries which are difficult to obtain and it is a pity that a spare set is not provided, even at extra cost.

Dinky, smart looking phone. Initally I was pleased, minor quibbles over the lack of range on the ear and spearker volume control, 1 - 3, either very quiet or a bit louder. Not much use when you want to have a conference call playing in the background so you can move round the study. A few days ago the dial tone wouldn't quick in and the handset was unresponsive. A call to the helpdesk (v. bored sounding call handler) said it was interference from the wireless router so I moved the phone, but a few hours later it did the same thing. Another call - a less bored sounding call handler - and I was told to take the batteries out and in again - my Dad's standard fix for everything. Seems ok at present, but I use only when I want to go handsfree (whilst working from home) so I only know it's playing up at the point when I really need to use it. 3 stars as not convinced I will need to buy a more established brand phone if this fault repeats. Hope someone finds this review helpful!

Fantastic phone, sound quality is crisp and clear and handset volume is more than capable of being loud enough. features match the looks awesome bit of kit for the money 10/10 i would thoroughly reccommend buying one.

Small compact and versatile, the iDECT X1 not only does what it says on the boxes it surpasses it. And, it looks good. Easy to install and set-up I was up and running within 10 minutes of the phone being delivered. Likewise the service provided by liGo was outstanding - devered within 3 days. Impressed. Thanks liGo

Great phone. The handset is very tiny, but it has good sound and functions. User friendly interface. If I had to change one thing it would be to make the speaker phone louder. Apart from that, happy and worth the £40!

Sound quality very good. Looks are excellent. However small fingers are required to operate phone, Both I and my wife keep pressing the wrong keys - I suppose its a matter of getting used to small buttons. Next time I think we shall choose Panasonic for ease of use and quality

Pros: Looks good

Cons: Expensive considering the sound quality (slight buzzing noise in the background) and the actual handset is too slim, making it awkward to dial and uncomfortable to hold.

In general, the phone looks stylish, but in reality it's too slim, awkward to use and the sound quality is poor considering the price of the phone- overall, I was disappointed, and if I was to buy again I would go for a panasonic cordless phone which I have used in the past and are excellent phones for all that I would look for: price, quality and style.

Great cordless phone with the a speaker built into the handset. Looks great and works great. Make sure that you register the handset with the base before use or you won't be able to take any calls.

I ordered an iDect X1 phone on Saturday which it was delivered on Tuesday--amazingly prompt service. I cannot fault Ligo at all and give them ten out of ten. The phone is up and running perfectly and is great value, so much cheaper than Argos!!

I am very demanding in relation to audio quality having had several phones in the past that have been a great disappointment (including Philips and BT), but the X1 meets my requirements. I recently purchased this very stylish and sleek cordless phone. I must say I am very happy with it and contains all the requirements I was looking for packed into this tiny little handset eg: memory for numbers and an excellent speaker phone.
For £40 I think this is perfect!! The only one tiny drawback is the buttons on the handset are very tiny and hard press. Other than that I am fully satisfied!!! It looks so TRENDY in my liivng room!! My sister thought I paid £80 for it!!!

When I first seen this phone I knew it was right for my home. The style of the handset are probably the best in the market and at an affordable price makes this phone a must have. The base unit is small and discreet and comes with a good length of cables.
The phone its self is styled like a mobile phone and it is very light and easy to use.
The display is rather on the small side measure app 22mm X 18mm but in saying that it is very easy to read and fits a lot of information on the screen, such as battery level, handset name, date and day. The phone book is easy to add new numbers too and navigate when placing a call plus with 50 number memory should accommodate must phone users.
The other key point to the I-Dect is the hands free option one touch of a button and the loud speaker is activated, after using this several times I found the speaker was very clear and the person on the other end of the line has know idea I’m on a hands free phone. As I have only had this phone just over a week I can’t make a honest summary of battery life but have used the phone for several days without a charge and the battery indicator is still full.
