This telephone has good features for the price. My children like its coloured screen, which has satisfactory resolution for home use (nothing high-definition, but what would you need that for?). Sound quality is good, although in our experience the indoor signal reception is slightly below the maximum distance BT indicated. One of the main reasons why I opted to purchase this model was its SMS function and SIM card reader. The SMS function is great, the coloured screen makes reading messages easier (I only cringe to imagine how hard it would be to read an SMS on a small monochrome LCD!). I haven’t decided though about the SIM card reader. I initially thought it would be rather useful, allowing me to have all my contacts integrated in one phonebook, but having to transfer my SIM from mobile to cordless has been something of a hassle. The verdict is still out on the SIM reader. Lastly, the service from ligo was superb, even though the product isn’t in stock it got to my doorstep in less than two days.

Encountered charging problems with this phone shortly after it arrived. After the first charge it appeared to switch itself off resulting in a very short standby time. The problems worsened until the phone only lasted a few hours even after a full nights charge. Returning for a new model.

I especially liked the SIM card reader. It was so easy to use and saved time from typing all names individually. SMS was easy to set up and like using a mobile phone. A really handy feature. An excellent phone with great features and so easy to navigate the menus compared to a mobile. Not sure about the distance is quotes for reception though. Also when you hang up a call always remember to press the red key rather than just putting the phone back. Accidentally it didn't click into place and left my phone line engaged for one hour. Even still I still would recommend. It's a smart design and everybody who has seen it has been very impressed. I especially liked the handsfree feature, like on a mobile, good quality and easy to use. There is a headset that you can plug into the phone. I haven't used it yet but very good if you want to talk and work at the time. A CD rom is enclosed to download extra ringtones/ graphics. You can even select a different ringtone for each different contact in the memory! |
