The dongle itself isn't particularly exciting - it lights up orange when there's network traffic. It does however link up seamlessly with your Gigaset basestation, handset and Skype client. All working as expected and software setup very straight forward.

Seting up the M34 was pretty easy. Put in the CD, load the software, insert the M34 when told to and it connects to the Gigaset base station easily.
The connection to Skype works well but I have a couple of reservations about the product.

1) I already had 6 DECT nodes, well the M34 counts as another one, so it silently
unregistered one on my others ones, my cordless headset. OK perhaps I might have guessed that this would happen but it would have been nice if the documentation had said that it would limit the number of hand/head sets you could use.

2) The bigger pain is that you can't transfer Skype calls to another extension. I've got a DECT headset, which doesn't have any buttons to place calls. You can just answer them. With normal phone calls you dial from a standard handset set up the call and then apologise to the other person that they'll have to listen to the
