SIEMENS GIGASET C460 CORDLESS PHONE REVIEW
This product has a clear tone, with easy to follow instructions, is nicely designed and of pleasing appearance. I am happy with this phone and can recommend it, especially to the domestic user who is looking for an up to date uncomplicated telelphone. The directory, with a possible 100 names, is simple to use.
Regards Peggy Good clarity of sound. Very easy set-up. Does exactly what it says on the tin... couldn't ask for more for the money. Great service from Ligo.
Regards Alan I have used these phones for about 3 weeks now, & for the price they are unbeatable.
They are not your all singing all dancing set, but all i want to do is talk to other people. What i really like is the ability to send address entries between the two sets. Regards Graham Williams The Siemens C460 is a decent,easy-to-use phone that does all the basics well.Even a real technophobe should be OK with this.If you want a phone with lots of extras, then look elsewhere-this is a phone-plain and simple.
Regards Mr. Andrew Willis Bought the set on the back of reviews, so felt I ought make my own contribution. Have been further motivated by the frustration with this phone
I bought the Siemens to replace a rather basic Panasonic cordless. Wanted a backlit colour screen and keypad, which the Panasonic lacked. The big problem for me (or rather 'us') is the volume and effectiveness of the handsfree feature. We have a 16 month old daughter, and consequently when either I or my partner are out on the road, we like to use handsfree occasionally so we can involve our daughter a little too. The volume on this unit is far lower than the Panasonic (have checked all the settings), and, worse still, unless you are talking absolutely directly at the phone, you are inaudible to the other end of the line. Had I not opened and used it I would certainly have returned it (conditions of LIGO not great here - has to be totally unused/unpacked to return - how do you find out if you want it? (though I also appreciate the difficulties/costs associated with returned 'tried' goods)) Beyond this, and if handsfree is not so crucial to you, the phone seems to work fine, with decent features. I feel I should have upgraded to another Panasonic though. Regards Dave I am usually sceptical of product descriptions on retailers’ sites. Of course they’re going to make the product sound good, they want you to buy it. But I ended up purchasing this one anyway, because I was in dire need of a new telephone and had all the features I wanted within my budget. After 2 weeks of using it, I’ll actually have to agree with the product description: it IS a really good all-rounder. How?
First, physical set-up: the handset itself is simple and uncomplicated. The keys are easy to press, and there’s no confusing array of buttons to deal with. The handset fits snugly in your hand. Second, built-in features: siemens is definitely not stingy with their technology. This telephone’s features are standard for most new siemens dect phones, with a couple of extras that don’t make the price get too high. Last, ease of use: You have a simple icon driven menu that any mobile phone user can easily adapt to. Like I said, this is a good all-rounder at a very reasonable price. I imagine it won’t look out of place in both a residential and business setting Regards Tony Sutton Phone does everything I would expect it to. Sound quaility is very good and it's comfortable to hold/use.
Regards Alex This is a comfortable to hold compact cordless phone with a good instruction book which should be read carefully
The personal directory simplifies dialling and the display of callers' numbers is very good and clear. The ring tone is pleasant. Regards Denis Completely satisfactory. Not quite as flashy as the pictures suggest.
Perfectly adequate. Quite easy to use. Recommended. Regards David * The opinions expressed in this reviews section are those of our customers not of liGo Electronics. Nothing contained herein amends liGo's terms and conditions. |
