Panasonic cordless home phone

The information and guidance I received on the phone was excellent. The phone arrived very promptly and the repeater works like a dream. It's the first time in three years we've had a phone upstairs that didn't cut out as soon as you move. Farmer Jack

We've never had a cordless that was much use when we were more than 20 or 30 yards away from the base station--and if there was a wall in the way, forget it. With this model, we've taken the repeater and mounted it on a pole (covered with a small inverted plastic bin) about nine feet high. Now we can get good, clear reception anywhere on our smallholding, even at distances of around 150 yards, and even on the other side of outbuildings. It breaks up if you walk around, but otherwise the signal is fine. Otherwise, the only fault is that the sound quality on the answerphone is pretty marginal. We never use any of the advanced features--not even the phonebook, as people our age have no trouble remembering phone numbers--so I can't vouch for them. But if distance is what you're after, this is clearly the ticket.

Good points
The range is excellent and allows me to use the phone in the garage at the end of the garden where many others I have tried have not.
Clear and loud with a good range of ring tones to identify callers. Simple set up and upto 5 handsets on one set. Caller display and answer machine simple to use from any hand set. Much better than the BT range ! Bad points You have to enter your phone book into every handset which is a bit tedious... would be great to just input it once and retrive it from the base unit ... ? Last number redial, and retrieve last call could be easier to access... but perhaps this is just me looking for something to type...! liGo

The Panasonic KXTG 732 Range offers copying of the phonebook into every additional handset from the basestation. Please refer to your manual or give us a call for further information.

Good points
The clarity of the handsets is superb and ergonomically they are a joy to use.
Bad points I have yet to find any bad points Other thoughts I live in an old cottage with 3ft thick walls and it has always been a problem in getting a signal all around the house from the base. With this system that has disappeared and I can now roam all over the house without fear of losing the signal. Fantastic!!

Excellent range of features -a big improvement over our last phones which didn't have the range to get through the thick walls of our (old) house. Can now use phone in garage! Sound quality is also good on handsets and answerphone. Phonebook is easy to search and share between handsets.
Bad points None really, though it took several attempts to register the range extender with the base unit (had to re-enter PIN, even though it said it was set to this number by default). Works fine now though. Other thoughts Haven't found an easy way to identify which handset is which, when paging between them - will probably resort to sticky labels!

Clear mono colour screen - great sound clarity and quality - easy to setup - good battery life. - Can copy directory from handset to another.
Bad points No headphone jack on this model - no belt clip supplied (Im sure they used to come with them) - Additional handsets are numbered no name tags as per other models.....minor niggles otherwise fantastic phones. Other thoughts Great package phones with the extender. Easy to setup, great clarity, range and battery life. Simple to use. Easy to copy directory to other handsets (great feature) All round fantastic offer.

With the range extender it gives very good coverage. The automatic copying of numbers from the master handset to our 4 remote handsets is a brilliant idea. Nice loud ring.
Bad points A bit bulky to carry round the garden. Handset identification is iby handset number, whereas user name or location would be preferable. Storage of 100 phone numbers seems quite a lot, but a home number plus mobile and office numbers for each contact would only allow 33 .

It really does sort out the signal issues I have had for years
Bad points Handset charging light is too bright for bedroom installation Other thoughts I have put up with crackiling lines, engineer visits and have been told repeatedly there is no solution to our issues...oh yes there is !

Good points
This phone was easy to set up, easy to program and I am using one handset very successfully in my studio at the end of the garden.
Bad points The main unit doesn't seem to beep when there is an unread message, but it may do if I read the manual. Other thoughts I haven't had the phone long, but so far I am very happy with it.

Good points
Slim, easy to hold, like having a caller list and intercom feature. Very handy to ring Granny in her Granny Annexe.
Other thoughts In fact not sure I needed the booster, as its normal range quite good enough for what I needed and much improved on previous phone - although does mean I can take the phone with me into the neighbours and it works!!

Can't say about the battery life yet as the phones are new. OTHERWISE I am very pleased with the purchase. Smart and they do what they say they do!
