BT Diverse 6250 Trio DECT Phone review

Having previously owned an earlier BT Diverse dect phone, I was hoping for a big improvement with this latest system - and I am not disappointed. The software and functions are both comprehensive and excellent, much better thought out and easier to use than my previous system, and very importantly the clarity has improved dramatically.

Unless you feel you need to pay for a full colour screen, this is a really good, flexible small phone system which I am happy to recommend. I am also glad I did not go for a cheaper system with fewer options, as so many of the features are really useful, and not just 'nice add-ons'.

The service from Ligo was really fantastic, the goods being delivered within 24 hours. What more could you ask?

SIM copy facility is very handy, call quality is excellent. Only slight let down is the speed of moving through the menus but that is a tiny niggle rather than an issue.

Very pleased . Had to throw away our last wireless phone (a binatone) as the battery life was 15 minutes after 1 year and we could not tell what people were saying when they quoted postcodes. Now it is so clear we can get the post code correct at the first attempt. This was a sligtly more expensive phone but far superior and worth every penny

This phone met all my requirements (easy to use answerphone, ability to transfer live calls, internal calls between handsets, loudspeaker & mic, sim card reader, good quality construction). Great price on this site and very fast delivery by courier. Very pleased with the quality of the phone - easy and intuitive to set-up, didn't need the manual at all. Phone feels solid and slips easily into the charging holster. Also came with 1 mic/earpiece which I probably won't use but some may find handy for hands-free operation around the house / garden. My only slight dissapointment (which is my fault for not checking) is that it it can 'only' store 100 names/numbers and I discovered that I have nearly 200 on my mobile phone SIM so wasn't able to do a straight full copy from SIM-->phone, but had to be more selective using the one-by-one copy feature which worked fine. Overall 5*, well done BT & Ligo!

Purchased this phone to replace a BT DECT Phone which ceased to work after 18months and of course out of guarantee. After carrying out much research and reading the good reviews posted with Ligo I went for this one.Set up was easy and transfering numbers via the sim card reader was a bonus.The build quality appears to be good and the dial keys are far enough apart not to press two keys at once.Having had the phone for approximately two weeks the phrase so far so good springs to mind.The three handsets are spread around the house and all have good signal streanth and clarity of voice. The answear phone clearly displays the number of messages and the date and time of each message is logged and annouced. All in all at present I am satisfied with my purchse.

The phone has plenty of useful features that are easy to use. The instruction booklet is unusually clear, but you don't really need it because the menu is simple to follow. Although it is not a very sleek design, the handset is functional; ergonomic, comfortable to hold, with slightly curved keys that just fit your fingers and a solid, well made feel. What more could you ask? I don't work for BT either!

A solid, well made phone with several very useful features. Drawbacks are lack of range which compares very unfavourably indeed with the old BT Diverse 2000, the blue lit screen on the handset which is hard to read as are the white on silver alphabet notations beside the number buttons on the handset, and the vertical chargers which gather dirt in the wells. The charging contacts on the handsets and charging stations look flimsy and as if they could be easily easily damaged - I shall have to see how they wear. The lack of range is the real drawback and I shall be forced to buy a Repeater which will add £120 odd to the cost. The phone works perfectly well on Virgin (previously ntl) cable.

These phones are very good and well built, with a very solid feel to them unlike other cheaper more flimsy ones.

We like the large display that is nice and easy to read and the menu system is very easy to understand. Lots of features on this one including the ability to send and receive texts - very useful because we live in an area with poor mobile reception.

Sound quality on the headsets and answerphone is very good even when you put it on speakerphone.

And I especially liked the idea of being able to copy the phonebook entries to all of the other handsets - saves lots of set up time.

So all in all very happy with my purchase

Having read numerous reviews online I decided to go with this phone because of the excellent reviews it had. It meets all my reqiurements, is loud, clear and easy to set up. It is chunky to hold but the display is clear and the buttons are large enough so that you do not press any by mistake. There is not a lot of choice on the ring tones but it rings clearly!The delivery and follow up from ligo was excellent and I am very pleased.

This works very well and does everything it says on the tin. The 2nd handset upstairs is ideal. Being picky one small complaint is that the screens on handsets are not 100% clear to see, otherwise excellent.

An excellent product. Obviously the BT functions on the phone ( a small part of the overall performance ) do not work on Virgin/NTL however am totally satisfied with everything else and should I revert to using BT in the future then the facilities available with this phone will only increase.
I am also completely satisfied with the service from Ligo and would happily recommend them to friends and family.
A fine phone at a fine price with fine service, what more does anyone need

I am very glad I decided to buy the BT Diverse 6250 Trio DECT Phone as it is far superior to our previous telephone the use of which others in the family found complicated. This one is easy to use and reliable. On first setting it up, the old telephone lead was used and we couldn't get a line. However, upon advice from BT we connected the new lead and everything worked perfectly. Common sense really.

Looked around for a replacement for my dead Dect system and fell upon the 6250. Lots of good features and plenty of satisfied owners. Perfect! Rapid delivery, (next day) easy install and set up, so far perfect in use.

I bought this system to replace a much older BT digital system. This is fine and offer lots of facilities, more than I know what to do with! I have found it very easy to use and reasonably priced.

I'm with BT so have not experienced line difficulties.

Only 4 stars because I consider nothing to be perfect. The phone is easy easy to use and I quickly understood all the various functions. The ability to ring another handset is especially useful as I spend a lot of time out the house in the garage or garden. Down loading my mobile numbers straight from the sim card to the phone memory saved ages of time finding and inputting the numbers .

Having ordered the phones, I found the service to be prompt and the delivery painless. One small quirk of the ordering system is that VAT is added after postage and packing, but at £3.99 this is already reasonable. Certainly no complaints - a good example of the cost and efficiency benefits of ordering over the internet.

If you're looking for a reliable but cheap digital phone with 3 handsets and answering machine then look no more. It's superb.
