Top Notch - love the headset although my wife things it looks too camp: ;-). No instructions how to register th headset with the phone though. Had to search online in the end. In summary a good product. fritz

I have just purchased same.thought this would suit me as partially disabled. However, having same problem pairing up.Nothing in phone handbook. Can someone please help? liGo

Hi Fritz, Please find the steps in registering the cordless headset to phone base station below: Step 1: Put your phone into registration mode Locate the page/intercom/find button on your phone’s base unit (this is the bigger unit which is plugged into your phone point). Push the button and hold it for 3-5 seconds –you may hear a beep or a pulsing sound after doing this (depending on the model of the phone). The phone is now in registration mode and ready to be registered with the headset. Step 2: Registering the headset Locate the mute/volume adjust button at the top/back of the headset. Push this button in (as if you were muting the call) and hold it down for around 4-6 seconds. Your headset and phone should now be registered and you should hear a dialing tone when using the headset. For incoming calls you would simply need to press the answer button on the headset to answer/end the call. To make an outbound call using the headset, you need to make the call on your cordless handset and then transfer the call to your headset. Please refer to the manual for this process (this is the same as transferring a call from one handset to another).

The BT Diverse 6450 Quad is a quality phone that is easy to set-up and operate. The menus are logical and extensive. For me it was a choice between the BT and the Siemens Gigaset S445 Quad and I chose the BT Diverse for its ability to download names and numbers from a mobile SIM card. I have to take issue with Mr. Oliver Wright - although most modern mobiles store their numbers on the phone there is always an easy option to copy them to the SIM card which only takes a few seconds. I particularly liked the ability to upload your own personal photos from your PC to the phone and attach them to individual numbers. When the named person rings you it is possible to see immediatlely his/her image on the phone screen. My only (very minor moan) is that the memory allocated for storing personal photos and ringtones is very limited.

It works as expected. We like the fact that when a message is recorded all the handsets indicate this and a little red light flashes on each handset. It makes it much harder to miss the fact that a message has been received. It misses out on a 5th start only because the handsets feel a bit flimsy.

Parcel arrived very promptly and worked right away! and the biggest bonus the instructions were in fairly plain English, even I could work out how to put numbers in my phone book, first time ever. I dont suppose I shall ever learn how to use all the clever bits but as I'm of a generation that wants a phone to be a phone I am quite happy. The second handset is very useful as I can have it permanently along side my chair or take it around the garden, and the ring is nice and loud! Glad I stuck to BT, thanks

Lots of goodies. Sim card reader - magic.
Bad points Shows you who is calling but being able to hear who is calling woud be even better.

Works exactly as expected. Excellent range and quality and a doddle to set up. Headset is a real bonus. Only minor quirk is that I could only upload something like 8 pictures before the phones ran out of memory, and those pictures are obscured with the callout box containing the callers name when I get an incoming call. Think I can live with that though!

Phone quality fine but there seems to be no way to synchronise the ringing at the base unit with the ringing at the handsets, if one wants to retain the standard UK two rings. I have had to silence the base unit to avoid the cacophony which results from different sounds

Ordered BT 6450 system via LiGo on the standard 3-6 day delivery and it arrived the following morning! Does everything it says and has more features on it that we will ever need. Excellent supplier service too

Good at first but then a let down

When the phone first arrived I was delighted I thought it had the lot Ligo were brilliant with very good communications so you can imagine my disappointment when I transferred the numbers from the sim card of my Sony Ericsson they were all reversed with odd symbols added Totally unacceptable luckily Ligo took back the phone with a full refund and I bought a Phillips ID937 Fingers crossed it will be OK

We are very pleased with them as they are far simpler to set up than the phones we had previously, provide superb intercom service and have other facilities that we are looking forward to using including text mailing.

a feature packed phone, very easy to use and set up - totally intuitive. Ear piece however is no good at all - far too quiet - as is the handset volume on normal tone but you can louden this. Need to be careful when placing the handset back in the cradle to ensure it sits properly. Only other thing is the display is too bright for night in the bedroom - we need to cover it up!

Great looking Phones, nice and simple to set up, Fantastic clarity. I have them in my living room, bedroom, kitchen and home office in quite a large house. No interference with my wireless network or Streamium system. Cell Phone style ringtones for callers is a bonus for caller ID Highly Recommended

I am pleased to say that I have at last bought a product that is simple to use and effective. You dont have to look for the manual everytime to discover that *#66 is the code for delete. The base station has simple buttons for answerphone back forward delete etc. The product has a good quality feel about it and I am realy pleased after two weeks use. I bought because of the

Our fmaily gets through a lot of phone systems. In my opinion, BT are the best - styling is good but robust, with positive key action - ie you know when you've pressed them... The software is excellent - its just as it should be - menu driven, using icons that are clear on the colour display. The best bit is that the system is intuitive - as long as you have used one of these before, you should be able to manage the settings without even reading the manual - and that's possible with this phone. Ligo offer a great service too - very quick and well packed but I would've preferred a printed receipt with the goods too...

Excellent build quality - very nice in the hand, excellent sound quality, and the display is very nice. It worked straight out of the box - and even had a ready-recorded answering machine message. The SMS messaging set itself up when I first tried it - very slick. The supplied software for loading new wallpapers and ringtones worked very well - you can scale and rotate images before uploading them, and the software accepts a range of image formats, but only MIDI files for ringtones. Good signal scross three floors and around the garden. The base-station is very simple and clear to use as an answering machine - good recording and playback quality. The handsets have a headphone socket - and a basic earbud/microphone is provided - I think I'll get a proper headset if I end up using it for any length of time. Gripes: You can't copy images or ringtones from phone to phone, so if you want the same customisations on each - you'll need to do it all from your PC for each handset. Phone directories CAN be copied from phone to phone, but its a laborious process. My old Philips phones had 'shared' and 'local' phone lists, which I'm beginning to miss, as I have to run around the house to every handset whenever I want to add a new entry. You can associate pictures with phone book entries, but these won't be copied with the entry. The display is on all the time when the handset is in the charger - so a bedroom phone will cast quite a noticeable light over the room at night. If you like your bedroom pitch black at night, then you'll need to enable the powersave mode, and leave it off the charger cradle. I'd have liked powersave to apply when IN the cradle. Probably because of the SIM compatibilty, each phone-book entry is quite basic - if you want to enter a home and work number for someone - that's two entries that each have to be entered from scratch. On the whole, I'm very happy with the purchase. If they had better management tools for multiple handsets, it would be perfect.

Excellent handling,clarity,navigation,facilities--very good house system. Don't know how long we'll bother with the batterylife-optimising strategy,though.Isn't modern battery technology supposed to be better than that? Also,it would be good if a new directory number could be added to all handsets remotely. Overall though,very pleased with the set-up.
