Siemens Gigaset S150 colour Twin review

Finding a decent phone/answerphone and compatible headset was surprisingly complex, and I tried several places with not a lot of luck before finding LiGo. From that point on, the customer service was without fault - no question was too difficult or too silly, replies were prompt and excellent advice was given. I am extremely happy with this phone - it's sturdy, has a good weight to it, and the acoustics are superb. Being able to copy entries from one handset to the other is a great feature, and one of many. Overall, I'd say it's the best phone we've ever had and would recommend it (and LiGo) without reserve.

Delivered on time.
Registering bases took a bit of sorting out but was no real problem.
handset functionality and features are pretty good. In fact you probably won't use every feature but it is good to have.

Good looking, well engineered telephony unit. Had been looking around for some time and this product stood out from the rest. Functions and menus are clear and easy to use and the 3 channel answerphone is ideal for the office - simply record your menu options and the phone directs calls to the appropriate voicebox. Have not used the SMS service yet but it seems simple enough to configure. If you are looking for a product that does it all for this sort of money - you cannot go wrong!!!

Excellent piece of kit that looks and feels expensive. I work from home so having different ring tones for personal or business is very useful, as is having a phone with good range. Good answering machine that tells you how much time is available and records messages with decent clarity (cf. BT). Loaded with features such as SMS messaging that I'm sure are useful but are beyond me. Overall so much better than my old BT phone: think long and hard before you buy another brand.

This is a great phone. It has all the features that you would need and the answering machine is so much better than 1571. The colour screen is clear and it is simple to use. It feels much better made than cheaper alternatives. Definately a must for anyone wanting a new phone/answering machine.

These phones are great, lots of features and pretty straight forward to use. Setting up the second handset requires a few careful moments reading the instructions ... as a man not used to having to do this! Highly recommended and the sound is crystal clear. Not the cheapest around but you will not be disappointed.

Excellent phone - I did my homework before buying this phone because the BT phone I bought previously had to be sent back because of the sound quality. No problems with this

Firstly: Top marks to Ligo for incredibly good CS. After trawling reviews and tech specs, one call to Ligo had all my questions answered. The guy I spoke to (Ess) was extremely helpful and even arranged special delivery.

Phone is good for the price, although I'd nearly brough the Panasonic Duo for £30 cheaper. Not had chance to use all the functions yet, but generally everything seems to be fine. Let's hope it last longer than my previous one?
Would recommend it to anyone who wishes to buy this phone. Brilliant!

We are delighted with the Gigaset S150. Having handled a number of other brands on display in the shops, this phone actually feels like a high quality product rather than a lightweight plastic shell. The menu system is easy to use, the screen is bright, and the display is extremely clear. We love the ringtone we selected from nearly a dozen options and have found reception of calls very satisfactory. Highly recommended

I bought the phone in the hope that the reception and sound quality would be good, I was not disappointed. Other features are good too such appointment reminders and multi mailboxes. I also like the ability to copy entries between handsets. Altogether a good buy.

This is a first class telephone, We have looked around for a new phone for quiet sometime and finally settled on this model. I am so pleased we did, it is everything that Siemans say it is. I would recommend this phone without reservation, I would also recommend ligo Electronic they are a great internet company to deal with

The build quality of this phone is excellent, far superior to the majority of phones I have seen on the market in the last few years. Not only that, the call quality and range is also much better than my previous DECT phone.
The features on the phone are too numerous to mention, which is great as you get a lot for your money, but the downside is you’ll spend a long time configuring them and reading the less and intuitive manual!

Review of Siemens Gigaset S150 colour Twin.
I've now been using this system for a bit over a month. I also use (on another line) a relatively recent cordless phone from a different manufacturer and my comments are directed mainly by comparison with that system (which I now wish I hadn't bought).

The Siemens system has:

* good, solid build quality
* excellent positive key action
* better range than other systems I've used
* intuitive software design (I and others have been able to use most of the extensive range of features without referring to the manual!)
* an incredible range of features (see the product description)
* fast response (you might take this for granted but the other system I use has such a slow processor that you often think you haven't pressed a key properly as the response is so slow).

In short, this is an excellent system: the only reason it gets four stars rather than five is because I believe there's always room for improvement. At the moment, I can't think what improvements are needed!

I bought this phone primarily as my old phone lost signal from one end of the house to the other (we have very thick walls!), this phone so far seems to have no problems at all.

It is early days but another feature that I like is that I can pick up my answer machine messages from any handset, this is particularly useful as the base phone is not close to where we come in and out of the house.

All in all I am very pleased.

Had these units just over a week now and they are excellent value for money.
The displays are clear, easy to read and navigate and the phones have so many features it would be hard to list them. My phones are set to turn to Night mode at 20:00 hours i.e the ringer goes to level 1, at 7:00am they go to Day mode - no more leaping out of bed at 2am when the phone rings full volume. Also mine are set to turn the display off when in the charging cradle and answer when the phone is lifted out of the cradle - no more fumbling for the answer button.
The Answer phone has 3 mail boxes and so the whole family can have their own voice mail and you can set the incoming message limit so no more life stories taking up your precious answer phone space (mines set to 30 seconds so get your messages in quick).
When entering numbers into the directory you can send them from one phone to another to save typing, you can set listen-in off so your calls cannot be over heard and you can screen incoming calls via the base unit or handset. If I had only one complaint it would be that they don't have a lot of ringtones but it's hardly a reason not to buy them.
My main comment about the phones would be the awsome quality of the reception and speech, either through the phone itself or in hands free mode, they are stunning and far exceed my previous DECT phone. Quite simply the best DECT phone I have ever used - highly recommended and Ligo delivered in three days - Full marks for excellent service and value for money saving me almost £90 compared to Currys !!
I just need to sort out the SMS messaging with my service provider and we can not only send SMS messages but people can leave them in the mail boxes - Awsome !

Not had chance to try out all the features yet, but certainly cannot fault the quality, style and usability of this package. Everything seams to be sensibly pre-configured and ready to go (apart from the initial 6 hour delay to charge the batteries). The menu system is easy to follow (fortunate since the manual although comprehensive, takes a bit of following for a first time user) and there is plenty customisation potential. The only thing that confused me for a while was figuring out that the second handset had to be inserted into the base station in order to register it. Overall a great product and perhaps I'll give it 5 stars once I've got to experiment further with features like remote access to the answer machine.
