Panasonic KX-TG 7126 DECT Sextet review

Service fantastic, made an enquire by e-mail on Saturday night and got a reply on Sunday. ordered the system on Sunday evening, it arrived before 9.00 on Tuesday morning. What more can you say. Equipment excellent value for money, easy to set up and use.

We bought the 6 phone set as we live in a 3 storey house so can place phones conveniently close to most rooms. I chose this phone as it was recommended by 'Which?' and was also reasonably priced - we have no need for loads of features but wanted an easy to use functional phone set
Very easy to set up - as a technophobe I did it myself in about 20 mins. Have had no problems with the reception through thick brick walls and over 3 floors.
Hanset buttons nice and chunky and are backlit when any button is pressed so very clear and easy to see what you are doing.
The receiver volume is adjustable - with our BT set it was very hard to hear the person you were speaking to but no such problems here.
The ringer volume is adjustable on individual phones so we have the one near the childrens bedrooms set low so they don't get disturbed at night. On full the sound is almost deafening - but at least I hear it over the noise of 3 kids and the TV!.
The internal calling feature is great and easy to use - and gets my sons down for tea without me having to yell up 2 flights of stairs.
Very easy to transfer calls from hanset to handset - a knack I never mastered with my BT phones.
Choice of ringtones with a different ringtone for internal calls.
Address book is easy to use - just like a mobile phone, and a great feature is the ability to input all numbers into 1 phone and then send them to every other phone in the set. Only 50 numbers in the address book - but inputting 46 took me a pretty long time and I've got all regularly rung numbers plus many less frequently used numbers so not a problem for me.
The charging units are great as the phone sits right in the charger rather than resting on it and therefore doesn't fall out when knocked.
Handsets display time and date which is useful.
Answerphone very simple to use and messages can be picked up from the handset or main unit.
I am unable to comment on the longevity of the phones as we have only had them a few weeks, but Panasonic are usually pretty reliable and with the Which? reccomendation I feel very confident that they will stand the test of time.
All in a very satisfactory purchase with no real downsides.

Panasonic are reknown for their reliable top quality phones - unlike many 'own label' brands. This does not dissapoint. Simple and straightforward with all the features you need and none of the more fancy ones you dont! I would strongly recommend this phone if you want a good system for the whole house.

Prompt delivery, well packaged.
Product is classic Panasonic, simple to set up , easy to operate, well built, stylish and reliable.The extra handsets make it much easier for my wife (who is severely disabled) to have a phone in every room, without all the hassle of wiring , REN s etc. In all a very practical, value for money product.

Nice handsets, no issues and good sound. Great feature is being able to copy phonebook numbers between handsets. very easy to set up - extra handsets registration is simple.

Although I ordered the sextet KX-TG7126, because no additional handsets were available when the order was processed, I actually received the KX-TG 7123 set of answer phone + 2 additional handsets, and 3 single individual handsets from the range above (i.e. KX-TG 810 S) at no additional cost. Plus, delivered within 48 hours of placing the order.

The handsets themselves feel sturdy and so far have performed perfectly. 4* rather than 5 because the 7123 handsets oinly store a measly 50 numbers in the directory, which when you need to record two numbers for most people these days, is a bit limiting. The 810 handsets can store a respectable 150. The ability to transfer calls is wonderful, as is being able to copy directory entries between handsets. Thoroughly recommended.

Set up is Dummy proof. Six phones set up in a flash. I have a large house with solid concrete walls and floors. The reception is excellent throughout. LIGO service was good.

Last year, I bought a set of four Panasonic DECT phones.
These have proved very satisfactory to the point that other people have acquired their own after using mine.
I have just purchased and installed a set of six for another location. The sextet is really a set of three plus three separate phones neatly packaged together. It was, however, very simple to register the additional phones using the excellent manual.
I would like to use the calling line ID feature, but TalkTalk charge a monthly fee to provide that facility!
Everything else works perfectly.

Delivery within 26 hours of order. Setting up straightforward once everything had been charged up. Great to find that the registering of additional handsets was semi-automatic, and even better, that setting-up one handset automatically set up all the others. I wasn’t looking forward to setting-up six times. Took about 2 hours to do it all, including putting all the handsets in place of old ones. No problems (other than BT cutting us off “accidentally” while rewiring elsewhere nearby). Wonderfully bright flashing light on base unit for incoming messages – don’t think it can be missed. Just wish that one ringtone could be an “ordinary telephone” ring. We don’t really like the musical ones, entertaining though they may be. Better range for handsets from base unit than our earlier (different brand) phone, and volume variation for incoming calls means that we are unlikely ever to miss a call, if we are in the house.

My expectations were set by my existing Philips cordless telephones. The Panasonic telephones are superior in the clarity of their sound, their reception range and the simplicity of their setup. They are rectangular in appearance ( not an inspired design) but what they lack in this area is more than compensated for by their practicality. The real measure of satisfaction is whether I would be prepared to recommend the telephones to friends or family - my friends bought four of these telephones a week ago on my recommendation. In order to provide five stars I would need to feel confident in their longevity. Having used them for less than a month Iam not able to make a comment in this area. They are good telephones at a competitive price which live up to their promises.

Just what I was looking for for our small business - we don't need a switchboard, just something that allows us to transfer calls from a single line. Only 2 niggles so far: I can't find is how to stop the answerphone coming on so quickly - but 1571 better anyway as it takes call while one is talking; and it is not very easy to wall-mount the main base unit (others fine)
I've now bought another one for home - ideal in our rambling old house. Wondering if I need a booster, but seems ok so far.

I found the phone system easy to set up, the features are menu driven so are easy use, the sound is also good. I am disappointed, however, with the standby time provided by the battery.

Only phone I'm aware of that will run 6 handsets which was a major consideration for me. Range seems reasonable and the phone features seem comprehensive. Bits of the instruction manual proved somewhat obscure but all overcome with careful reading. No regrets with purchase.

This is the 3rd set or cordless phones I have had.One from BT one from Comet and now this set.The others were useless in that the batteries ran down after a day and if you didnt recharge straight away the then packed in altogether. These are brilliant and are all the others weren't
