What a difference a day makes.
R.A.Crumpler
Up to yesterday I had to remove my digital hearing aid before answering the telephone, because even on the T setting all I could hear was a loud buzz. The searching on the net I read reviews of the KXTG 7160. I picked up the phone and ordered one with an additional cordless handset. In just under 24 hours I had my order, delivered by courrier. No trouble in setting it up, and within a few hours I had a phone call ffom a friend. I left my hearing aid in, and every word my friend spoke was clear, with no interference. Now I have to restrain myself, or else I wouold be on the phone all day long, thrilled with the magic of the panasonic KXTG 7160. My advice - go for it, it is worth every penny.

This was purchased for an elderly person who required ease of use with multiple handsets. Initial reaction has been very favourable.

Good points
Large buttons are useful for the elderly.
Bad points The phone book entries are attached to the handset and need to be separately entered into each handset which is time consuming and inconvenient if you have 4 handsets.

JUST WHAT I WANTED
JANE W
After making myself dizzy pre-viewing every phone on the market, this one seemed the best buy. I have been really pleased with it - easy to use and set up, instructions clear. It really does have choices of volume (most phones seem to be soft, softer, and what?), so I can hear it all over the house. I also like the answer machine, as I wanted an old-fashioned, flashing button to indicate clearely that a message was waiting - not like the mobile phone type - menus etc. Service was good - phone arrived within 48 hours.

Cordless review

This phone is recomened by the RNID and as they say it is very clear ,both the handset and the play back on the answer phone. My wife is hard of hearing and this is the only wire free home phone she can get on with. I find the voice reading of the incoming number annoing , although this can be switched off. A different tune for people you know would be a better option. Also it would be better if there was a counter on the answer machine , the numbers of messages are on the handset but this is not easily seen on returning home. Overal a very good buy.

Panasonic Big Button Phone
Mrs Molly Whiteside
We have already got Panasonic Cordless phones and have been very pleased with them. We bought these for my parents and they are excellent-not too complicated and simple to use. We were delighted with the service from liGo. There was a problem with my credit card but as soon as I phoned them, on Wednesday evening, before New Year, I was connected to a very pleasant lady with an english voice who sorted the problem and said she hoped the product would be with us by Friday. It was-just in time for New Year. Thank you very much

It seems to do what it says on the tin, and as usual, more than I really want it to do. I had problems registering the supplementary unit to the base unit - the cocktail glass symbol wouldn't stop flashing for hours. But I left it for a few days while I decided whether to parcel the thing up and send it back. Abracadabra! It had done it itself, when I looked again, so all appears well. Only thing is I should like to have understood why it happened thus. |
