Great phones - simple to use,

These phones were incredibly simple to set up despite theie wealth of features. I have been using them for a good few weeks now and would recommend then to anyone looking for a full-featured digital cordless phone.

The things I like about this phone is that it is comfortable to hold and easy to use. The dialling buttons work nicely and everything so far works as it should (I haven't tried everything yet). I find the features easy to use and fairly intuitive. There is nothing I dislike about it and would definitley recommend it

It is impossible to hear if the phone is ringing when it is in another room and the door is closed - it would be better if it was really loud. Also it is good to have some idea of the length of the call you have just made - our last phone displayed it at the end of a call. However, it was easy to set up and we have no major dislikes of this phone.

Ordered this phone over the black coloured 8222 model, because I tried out 8222 in a shop and did not its keypad. This phone has large clear keys with spaces, making it very easy to punch in numbers. Handsfree sound is rich and loud, and the phone is very customisable.
To reviewer below who suggested how to turn off the annoying backlight when the phone sits in the cradle - well, the menu items you suggest for turning the backlight off do not exist on this model. Do you mind reconfirming if turning off the backlight is indeed possible? Regards ashank

I've had these phones for a few days and very nice they are too. Just a note to reviewer below on how to turn off backlight. This bothered me too for a while, but here's the solution. Go to menu items: Settings > Display > Backlight. For here you can set the backlight stay off/on when in cradle or off/on when out of cradle.

I bought this product because of the external jack for a headset. It works really well and has not let me down. It allows for the copy of phone book entries from one handset to another, however tihs has to be done 1 by 1 which is a bit of a pain.

My wife and I, both in our late 60s, bought this phone after years of frustration with others. In the end when our last phone packed up we spent a long time looking for a replacement. We came up with this Panasonic and are we pleased we did.
It was a dodle to set up, the phone book being particularly good, the sound is great and the screen, if possible, even better. There are things on the phone we will never use but all the basics and more are really good. I must mention the answer machine, which again was very easy to set up and use. An excellent phone system which works a treat. I started to read the instructions but found they were hardly needed as the phone commands are highly intuitive. We have had it working for about a week now and found it will do everything we need and more..particularly when I sign up to caller ID.

It works! I am a 60 year old technophobe. I can read the screen without having to find my glasses and there is crystal clear voice reception. Easy to use and user manual simple to follow and understand. Would that all things in life were so stress free! Am delighted with this buy.

We needed a phone incorporating an answerphone with enhanced sound as we are both hard of hearing. As usual Panasonic have produced a Dect phone that does all it says on the packet. The bonus is a decent memory capacity with a good quality playback. This is my third Panasonic cordless and apart from a disastrous purchase of a Philips Dect phone I will stick with Panasonic in future

ligo sevice did not dissapoint-phone arrived in 2 days. the phone seems excellent; it looks very stylish and feels good in the hand. the backlit screen and large numbers are great-- even visable without glasses!the sound is very clear. i haven't used all the features yet, buy it was not difficult to set up even for an old tecnophobe like me. thanks, i'd use ligo again.

The phone system is all that the website description said it would be. All the functions are present and it is easy to use. These are important issues because, before I found this site and phone, I had bought two systems both of which I returned because they did not do what was described on the website.

I am hard of hearing and have struggled for five years with a BT twin handset DECT phone
Its sound quality was poor and I couldn't understand what callers were saying. I received many complaints until one day the base unit gave up and I started looking for a new phone, with clarity of sound being the main criterium. After a thorough search on the Internet I settled on Panasonics 'top of the range KX-TG8122' from LiGo Electronics.and am delighted with it. It has more useful features than I have yet explored but is easy to use and above all the sound quality and clarity are superb. I am busy ringing family and friends now that I can hear and understand them. Excellent delivery service. The Panasonic telephones are stylish with clear dialling and helpful instructions. The only problem we have faced is with progressively diminishing sound volume on a longer calls. Even moving around to obviate wall screening makes no difference. The batteries were fully charged as per instructions and show no signs of low battery power. Puzzling!

So easy to set up, this phone replaces my BT Synergy which I was very satisfied with but I am even more delighted with the Panasonic. Features are excellent and easy to access. The answering machine is first class, no problems there, remote listening to calls is a doddle. Conversations are as described with crystal clear detail for caller and called. Well worth buying and extremely good value for money from ligo.

excellent next day delivery, good after sales, queries satisfactorily dealt with, but in common with most electronic equipment this 74 y/o wrinklie did not find setting up a doddle. Perhaps you could have one of us elderly relics test setting up your equipment to see if it is wrinklie friendly

I work from home and am involved with a lot of conference calls, and have been impressed of the quality of these handsets.
They are solid to hold, have excellent battery life, and have a speakerphone mode that works really well. There's a port on each handset to plug in a headset, and even the ring tones aren't obnoxious! A nice feature is the Regards Dan Grenfell

I decided to buy this phone after reading other reviews about the product, and so far it hasn't dissappointed me! I haven't had the product very long but I am very impressed with the ease of use and setup menu's. I chose LIGO because it was the cheapest provider, but I found the tele sales staff to be very helpful and polite. The product arrived on my doorstep within a couple of days of placing my order, it was well packaged and in perfect condition. I am a very happy customer!!!

Setting up the Panasonic KX-TG 8122 could not be easier. For those of us (males) allergic to instruction booklets, the Panasonic guidance notes are virtually redundant. It works straight out of the box, with a minimal charge in the batteries supplied to get you going. Compared to BT and Siemens phones I have had previously, this is in totally different category in terms of build quality and clarity of reception. Using the handsets as 'hands free' is simple and very effective. I have now installed two systems in our house, they both work perfectly. Any snags? Well, if you leave the phone in its stand in the bedroom you may find the light from the display distracting. And why they chose a 16 year old girl to dictate the default message on the answerphone is a mystery - callers who heard it often rang off on the assumption they must have the wrong number.

This is a great product. Previously i had a similarly-priced BT one and this is much better. It feels and looks 'quality'. I don't use all the features, but from those i have, it is simple and intuitive to use and set up, has a very clear handset and answerphone - including on speaker phone, and has a really good range - i can use it from the bottom of the garden etc.
would have given it 5 stars but it could do with a sim-reader to facilitate populating the phone book. Regards Daniel

A easy to use and set up phone, can't fault it and would recomend it to anyone. I thought it was good value for a two handset model. I haven't found anything that it can't do. Call clarity is excellent. Adding numbers and names is easy. I didn't do a mass of research before buying it but it came highly recomended so I was happy to buy blind and I'm not dissapointed.

Recently purchased this phone and found the service excellent and delivery the same, and after 2 of my friends saw it they asked me to order them one each also.
The phone was easy to set up , Set one phone press a button and it sends all the details to the other phone, great, as opposed to my previous phone of having to key the details for each handset. Easy to use.
Being at the end of a long phone line we have alway had a problem with quiet and crackley lines add on broadband and we can bearley hear. These phones make are chrisp and clear and loud. Well worth it. Regards E

I did check out BT and Binatone, but I think this Panasonic KXTG 8122 twin fits my requirements perfectly. Easy to use and offering a host of features, this model definitely meets my expectations. This phone is easy to set up, the directory and caller-ID features are very useful, and the instructions are clear. The phone works well at a distance from the base unit. The sound quality is great, and its easy to adjust the call volume during a call. The handset display is clear, and excellent quality. Ordering and delivery on this item was easy and exceptionally quick.

Get this phone for its features. Can't go wrong with the advertised features: good, clear sound in the handset ear-piece, no setup answerphone, excellent build quality. This phone will last you a few good years. If not for the features, get it for its looks.

First I had a BT studio phone - rubbish. Then I had a Binatone - even worse. I was seriously considering going back to a corded model when I saw a favourable review of the Panasonic KX-TG 8122 Twin Colour DECT Phone, my sister also had an earlier Panasonic model and spoke very highly of it.
Ligo Electronics had the model on offer at a fair price and promised fast delivery so I ordered it from them. 3 working days later the phones arrived as promised and I put them on charge. As soon as I was able to use the phones I connected them and started putting numbers into the memory following the easy to understand instructions, it is also very simple to transfer the phonebook from one handset to the other. I like the feature that allows you to categorise your phonebook, thereby limiting the numbers that can disturb you after a certain time, no more clients badgering me at midnight. The sound quality in the phones is noticeably better than others that I have tried and we have had no problems with range so far, also the buttons are a decent size and the display is clear and easy to read. The various ring tones included are not very exciting but allow you to distinguish between intercom and outside calls and, if you choose, between different callers. I haven't really done much with the answerphone yet, only confirmed that it works. Have recommended Ligo to all my friends, the customer service was wonderful and the delivery speed couldnt have been any quicker. As for the phone, crystal clear sound, even when I am on my computer which was always a problem with other handsets. Easy to set up and use and the adjustable ringtones and wallpapers are good. Price was great, especially for what you get. I will definately come back here if I need another phone.

I was impressed by the simplicity of this phone. Numbers are easy to store, sound is crystal clear and the answering machine is good too.
The speakerphone and hands free function are excellent. Usually people cannot hear you on hands free but this is perfect. When you record your answer machine message via hands free it is just like using the normal phone. Only criticism....colour screen is not great and definition is low quality compared to a mobile phone equivalent. However, at the current price you simply cannot complain. This phone works well for me, I work from home but not in the same room as where the line is. So I wanted a DECT with a second handset for my office. It was important for me to have a headset to allow me to use my PC. Would have liked some ability to transfer my contacts from PC or mobile into but heyho can't have everything.

My requirement was specific - I needed a new DECT system with at least two terminals, capable of being used with headsets with 2.5mm jackplugs. Ligo advised me that very few systems meeting that need are available, and recommended the Panasonic KX-TG 8122. This was on offer at a very good price, and arrived in amazingly short time. It proved simple to set up and configure, and works extremely well. Whilst I do not use all its many features, it is very versatile and powerful, especially in regard to the answering system and address book. One other point - the handsets use standard AAA size rechargeable batteries, which will save a lot of money and hassle when the time comes to replace them!

I like my new phones alot. They are a huge improvement on the BT rubbish that we had before. Sound quality is good and they are very easy to use. I love the address book which has saved me loads of time. Delivery was next day. My only disappointment is that the caller id function and SMS texting are only available if you pay extra with your phone line provider - I thought I would get these automatically, but I guess that was my mistake. On the whole - highly recommended.

Pleased with the phone so far having bought a Panasonic before which I was very pleased with. My old BT DECT phones dies within weeks of each other as though built in obsolescence was a feature. So far pleased as with all modern day electronics time will tell. Let's hope this is as good as the other Panasonic I have. Colour screen takes a little getting used to as it's a bit garish but that is probably because I am comparing it to my Nokia mobile which is streets ahead.

Had the KXYG 8122 for a couple of weeks now and have to say that I'm pleased with the solution.
Can confirm that incoming call numbers work on telewest as well as SMS. Wasn't sure if they would when I bought it. Generally very easy to set up and program. Love the 200 capacity number memory. All the menu items work effectively. Very easy to feed incoming numbers into memory. Also love the ability to set different ring tones for different categories of numbers. (work, friends, family etc.) Also great that the entries can be copied to other handsets with 2 notable exceptions. First that it doesn't copy across the category designation and secondly doesn't copy across the ring tones OR names associated with the categories. The result is that you have to remember to sort these every time you copy a number. BIG mistake Panasonic if you're listnening. For the rest very happy. Very impressed with this product. Easy to use and intuitive controls both for the handsets and the answerphone. Very clear sound in both handset and speakerphone modes.

Ordered the BT Verve 500 but was told would not be available for a few weeks. Was advised to consider the Panasonic 8122. Checked some reviews online, liked what i read so changed choice (switch was made very easy by customer service team at ligo - goods delivered 48hrs later).
The phone is an excellent choice. From setting up to clarity, everything is perfect. Always used BT phones but they don't compare to this Panasonic. Perfect. Regards Mr. Sean Burke

A great phone. At a very good price. The handsets are very easy to instal. The intercom feature is very useful, as is the ability to listen to answerphone messages from any handset. Programming the address book is very easy and great that you only have to do it once and can then copy to assitional handsets. Allround a great phone

The KX-TG 8122 Twin is a great phone. Clear sound, very good features and it does exactly what the makers claim. I've only had the phones for a short while but I would unhesitatedly recommend them to anyone. Further I would like to congratulate LiGo for their excellent service

Many features, easy to set up once you have read the instructions and understood the icons. Clear speakers, good screen, easy to use menu. The screen is a bit bright if you have ithe phone in the bedroom.
It would be nice to differentiate between incoming and outgoing calls on the call listing. I have nothing to compare this model with, except an old BT cordless 6 years old, the KX-TG8122 is a giant leap in technology. You will not be dissapointed. Buy it from Ligo, fast delivery, although it took over a weekend to arrive, but still within 3 working days, efficient payment and feedback and good price. Regards Mr. John Howes

When I ordered phone originally I went for a different model but this was out of stock, however Ligo's staff were first class and provided some alternative options. I ended up going for there staff recommendation as shown on the web-site. The hine arrived the next day - pretty impressive for this type of internet purchase. The phone is very straight forward to use, onyl problem is getting used to the instructions at first using the symbols in the instruction booklet. Other gripes are nothing to do with quality of phone just depends how many features you are lloking for.

Yes, we like these phones. Crystal clear and certainly an improvement over the BT rubbish we have coped with the past 2 years. All the whistles and bells on the Panasonic are there if you want them. We just wanted a phone that does what it is intended - to send and receive calls and to work as a phone should; with clarity. We have always liked the Panasonic brand and this twin-set hasn't disappointed us. Also, Ligo is a dream company to order from. I placed my order one day and by midday the next it was delivered - can't ask fairer than that. We certainly reccommend Ligo as well as the Panasonic KX-TG 8122 Twin Colour DECT Phone. Sorry it took more time for me to make this comment than to receive the order. Well done Ligo!

very nice phone, with lots of extra features. but not too many which is good (like the more expensive mobile-like phones which are just ridiculous). can put it into night mode etc. which is very useful and good range of ringtones. good answer phone. very easy to use. very good instructions. very pleased. overall...HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
