great phone no interference,

I am so glad that I read the reviews of this phone and took other peoples word for it. There is absolutely no interference with Broadband - which I had on my old one - and the choice of ring tones for different callers is taking time to get my head round, but I am sure that once I have got used to it, I will really appreciate it and not keep answering calls that are not for me. Even though we have caller display, I find that you automatically answer the phone if it rings, but with this one, I am slowly getting used to the fact that if it is not my ring tone, then it is not for me, and I shall not bother to answer it. Altogether I would recommend this phone to anyone, and I am really glad that I spent the bit extra for this model rather than a lower one.

The things I like about this phone is that it is comfortable to hold and easy to use. The dialling buttons work nicely and everything so far works as it should (I haven't tried everything yet). I find the features easy to use and fairly intuitive. There is nothing I dislike about it and would definitley recommend it

We have had 2 BT digital phones prior to the Panasonic KX-TG 8123 and both were useless for the ringtone volume even with all the knobs fully up. The new phone is great in every way, we can now hear it when it rings and the clarity of the call is excellent. Set-up of the phone was no problem either. We look forward to long future with this phone.

I've had these phones for a few days and very nice they are too. Just a note to reviewer below on how to turn off backlight. This bothered me too for a while, but here's the solution. Go to menu items: Settings > Display > Backlight. For here you can set the backlight stay off/on when in cradle or off/on when out of cradle.

This fone system comes close to the level of technology that we have all come to expect from our mobiles. Colour screen, Easy menu, Various ringtones......
Well, its note quite current mobile fone tech, perhaps about 5 year old mobile tech, but still better than most others we looked at. The big feature is the ability to update the phone book on every hand set. If you've had a multiple handset system before, you'll know what I mean.... Features that we like (and use!!).. Call screening Play, edit, delete messages from base and any handset Internal calls Transfer external calls to other extensions Update all handsets with revised fone book entry Is there a downside?, well, yes there is one that thing that we don't like. The screen is illuminated all the time the handset is on the charger. Now, at night, it's like the Great Lighthouse of Alexandria! We have to take the handset out of the charger so the screen shuts down, but remember to put it back in in the morning to charge. Overall, this is currently the best fone that we could find and would recommend it. Regards Mark

Received the phone the next day after ordering it - thank you Ligo, and was immediately impressed with the quality of all the bits. I duly plugged them all in and off we went. Easy to set up and the call quality is really excellent. In fact I have had many cordless phones in the past and these are definitely the best. The phone book is tranferable to the other handsets which is a useful feature. Why only 4 stars then? One very annoying feature that this model has is that the screen glows all the time when it is on the charging cradle which is fine anywhere but in the bedroom! I have to remove it from the cradle before I go to sleep otherwise the whole room is illuminated which is majorly annoying. I cannot find a way of switching the screen off. If it did I would give the maximum 5 stars - shame!

I love these phones - the intercom function is fantastic, with a great range meaning I can call family members when I am too lazy to leave the office at the end of the garden. There are lots of ringtones too - but being dull, I stick to the plain ones. The answerphone is awesome: you can play it back from any handset.

Does what it says on the tin -and then some! Has a keypad lock (like mobiles) so stops little ones dialling Oz or 999! Handests can be programmed to ring quietly/silently at certain times (great for the bedroom) but can still be used/answered etc. Can personalise ringtones so you know the inlaws are calling (tee hee) Can transfer calls between headsets or make internal (free) calls, has speaker phone, secrecy/mute buttons, can be used in my neighbours house (on my bill unfortunately!), loads of tel no. memory space, can record calls, brilliant sound qualitly (no crackles), the list goes on and there is probably some stuff I don't know about yet too. My wife and I, both in our late 60s, bought this phone after years of frustration with others. In the end when our last phone packed up we spent a long time looking for a replacement. We came up with this Panasonic and are we pleased we did.
It was a dodle to set up, the phone book being particularly good, the sound is great and the screen, if possible, even better. There are things on the phone we will never use but all the basics and more are really good. I must mention the answer machine, which again was very easy to set up and use. This is the third phone i have bought since moving house 12 months ago and im pleased to say the best. I used to have terrible trouble hearing with the others but this phone is marvelous the sound is so clear. i would definately recommend this phone to anyone looking to purchase a new one. i like the colour display and the easy to use menus. one extra thing i didnt know about is that it stores all the people who have called you through the day so when i get home from work i can quickly see who has called even if they havnt left a message on the answerphone.

An ideal phone system for running a business from home over a single telephone line!
The polyphonic ringtones combined with BT's Display Caller Id service enables me to identify groups of callers (Friends, Family etc ) with a different ring tone for each. A basic ring tone is then used for all other callers which enables call screening. The night mode (no ring tone and directing straight to answer phone ) enables me to manage out of hours calls with the minimum of intervention from myself or disturbance to family life. The call transfer & intercom facilities between the handsets is a useful bonus feature. Regards Greg

I think these phones are fantastic, they are as clear as a bell, easy to set up, and best of all is the loud speaker on each phone.

I wear a hearing aid in both ears and whilst there is still some whistle and interference when placed next to my ear, the facility to use 'hands free' with all the handsets eliminates this as I do not have to place the phone next to my ear. The reception is clear and I can be heard clearly at the other end when speaking. The many other features make this a very good buy and I am now able to converse comfortably on the telephone.

The Panasonic KX-TG 8123 Colour DECT phone is stylish, modern and so easy to use. The menu items are clear and easy to follow but the thing that made these phones a 'must buy' is the feature which allows you to transfer your phonebook from one handset to the other handsets at the click of a button. This is an excellent piece of technology giving clear sound quality, a colour display, many features which are easy to use, and best of all the price is right.

This phone was recommended on this website by its members, great price great product, better than my old philips and any other dects I had. Best feature on top of the high quality sound and sms, is transfer of address book between handsets awesome, I highly recommened this if you want a cracking DECT only phone no gimiks jsut one that performs.

We have used Panasonic phone for a long time. The old ones wore out after 10 years. These new 812x series are superb. The ability to copy phone-books between handsets save hours, and eliminates errors. Call transfer is new and much appreciated. 10 out of 10

I had had a Panasonic cordless phone before and was pleased with it. The KX-TG 8123 Trio is even better. Very easy to set up and the facility to transfer the phone numbers stored in the directory to the other phones is wonderful - what a time saver. Make sure you always put new numbers in to the same handset and then copy to the other handsets. Caller ID works well, loads of different ring tones and you can set up different groups for everyone in the house with different colours and tunes so you know who the call is for - less arguments as to who should answer the phone!!

Having used the equipment in a domestic environment for about 3 weeks I am very pleased with the results to date. The equipment is robust, good in terms of functionality and intuitive, and therefore easy, to use. In the mid price range the equipment presents good value for money.
Slight niggles which could be ironed out in future are: 1. When housed in charger the screen display does not dim (not so good next to the bed) 2. It is possible to copy phone books between handsets but it is necessary to delete the current phone book on the target handset as the transfer is addtive. 3. Excellent piece of equipment....far superior to a similar P*****s product which I returned to the retailer as it did not function at all well.
The Panasonic is first class. Set-up of individual handset characteristics was easy, as was the set up and personalisation of the answerphone. The phone worked first time, input of phonebook memory details is simple as is the transfer of the information from one unit to the others. Linking to prefix numbers, to use phone services other than through my landline service provider, works well. Handset unit is comfortable to hold even in lengthy conversations. Excellent audio quality, apparently at the 'other end' as well as at home. Loudspeaker and intercom functions work very well. The only thing I can 'criticise' is that the alarm does not have a snooze button!! Are we ever 100% satisfied? The service from liGo Electronics, from taking the order through very speedy delivery (as promised) was excellent. No hesitation at all in recommending liGo or this Panasonic unit. A nice dect phone thats simple to set up ,and works well.Good clarity and features.I especially like the intercom (saves shouting upstairs at the kids ;) ).I would have given a 5 if panasonic had ,had the foresight and inovation to somehow strategically place the speaker at the front of the handset rather than the back,which is what most other manufactuers also do.All in all a good buy .I must also mention that i was impressed with the speed that i recieved the phone from ligo.Will definitly recommend thier service.

I recently bought the iDect quad and was very disappointed at the sound quality, range and very awkward way of accessing messages, so decided to spend the extra and switch to a recognised brand with a good reputation. I'm very glad that I did. This is an excellent phone, great range, really easy to use, well made, crystal clear sound makes the iDect look distinctly gimmicky and third rate. I should also mention very rapid delivery and excellent service from Ligo Electronics - thank you.

I bought this phone to replace another Panasonic one which I thought needed upgrading and am not disappointed. It was very easy to set up and has a very neat base unit, colourful LCD Screen a good choice of ring tones. It has a night mode which I particularly like & lots of other features. We have had problems with the reliability and audio quality of a fax machine, and three other phones. Bought the Panasonic set, they arrived a day earlier than expected, worked out of the box and are performing better than any phone system this office has seen in the last 10 years. I've wrestled for ages with trying to find a good DECT phone and at last I've found one I really like. It sets itself up straight out of the box. It does what you expect it to, and has a nice positive feel. The sound quality is excellent and the range is good. The backlight can reduce at night and the answerphone function works easily. It has plenty of functions; and it arrived within a couple of days of order. I'd certainly recommend it.

Excellent service. I was concerned that the delivery company used was one that only delivers when we are out at work - but a quick email to liGO got this sorted out that day (they arranged for the carrier to deliver to an alternative address).
Very pleased with the phone(s). Only issue (wearing my 'help save the Planet hat' is that the screen stays brightly lit when handset is in the cradle. Will check through instruction book re any option to dim/turn off! Regards Mr. Gary Jones

What a relif to find a hands free telephone system which delivers what it promises! We have been through 5 different systems over the past few years & all fail to be good enough, even on some fundamental things like being able to hear the person on the other end!! The Panasonic was simple to set up, the remote transfer of phonebook between handsets is a great timesaver, & is working superbly. Our telephone problems are over.

Bought this phone after having a horrible Phillips phone and I must say I am totally impressed with it. The on-screen menu is very easy to follow, the voice/sound clarity is astonishing and most of all the service from Ligo was supa excellent.

Really pleased with these phones. After MUCH research we plumped for these and don't regret it for a second. Excellent sound quality and reception throughout the house, around the garden, up the road and even out in the brick workshop! For the money, these phones offer a large phonebook memory, longer answerphone recording time, call recording, SMS, decent battery life etc. We were most looking for phones with specific features such as intercom and speaker phone, both of which this model has, so we are more than happy with its capabilities. If there is to be a down side, it has to be in looks alone - not the funkiest design and a pretty nasty grey in colour (and dare i say a little cheap looking) - but looks really aren't everything so if it's a decent set of phones you're looking for rather than just a piece of hand-to-ear candy, then these are they! Enjoy x

Very easy to set up and use - I think only criticism is that the ring tone on the phone doesn't match up with the base unit. The phone itself works like a mobile phone with regard to menu options etc..... A very good purhcase

Received the phone and additional sets promptly. Setting up was reasonably simple. The phone offers many features and I really like the night mode. My contacts have stopped complaining that they couldn't hear me (which they did with an analogue corded BT phone I used) so I guess the sound is fine - it is to me anyway.
One of the little things I miss is the pre-programmed services my previous DECT had - it saves you having to remember or look up/store the redirect code sequence for instance. But on the other hand it has a handy umpteen times redial function - ideal if you try to get throught to any NHS number ;-) One thing I really find annoying is that the different ring tones you can select for different caller groups are only played by the handsets - the base is doing its own thing entirely which results in a cacophony of sounds! Delivered on time and proved to be very easily installed and user friendly, after three other makes of trio cordless phones I found that the Panasonic KX-TG 8123 Trio Colour DECT Phone lived up to the Panasonic reputation for first class electronics and I also found that the instructions (it really is a good idea to read them first !!) were clear and practical.
