This system was easy to set up and use. The intercom facility and the ability to have up to six phones in one system is particularly useful for contacting children who are at the other end of the house. They seem to respond better to a phone call than a shout. There are a large number of ring tones available, but many are quite naff. The sound quality is much better than my old analogue phone. The phone book can be copied from one phone to another which saves considerable keying. Phone numbers can be grouped by self defined categories, but these have to be entered manually onto each handset. Don't forget to keep a handset that does not need a mains connection for use during power cuts. Overall a good system that should be in your shortlist.

The things I like about this phone is that it is comfortable to hold and easy to use. The dialling buttons work nicely and everything so far works as it should (I haven't tried everything yet). I find the features easy to use and fairly intuitive. There is nothing I dislike about it and would definitley recommend it

Very happy with this model + five extra phones that work perfectly and were easy to set up even for a technophobe! Sound quality it excellent both for incoming and outgoing calls. I would comment that the instruction booklet is far from perfect and it is difficult to find what you are looking for. For example, they call both the answerphone and the cradle in which the phones stand the base unit which led to some chasing round the house while trying to set things up. Customer relations people at Panasonic however are great and good at resolving problems. Delivery wasn't as fast as I was expecting but it was in the middle of the floods and Ligo were polite and informative when I called. I suspect the problem is with the courier. In all, good value and great service. I will definitely recommend Ligo.

This phone was quick and easy to setup. The additional features, such as alarm and text messaging ,were not to numerous and simple to use.

Very good overall but a few niggles

The phones have everything we need and work very well so far. Good keypads, good audio quality, nice clear display, headphone socket available, speakerphone works OK. A few niggles: The phone doesn't go into standby when on its charger, so you get a bright backlight on permanently. Can't be good for the display, and annoying in a bedroom. The phone book is per-handset - it doesn't seem to have the shared directory I've had on previous DECT phones. Couldn't see how the intercom worked or how to show a handset number - probably just me being stupid. Doesn't have a wireless VoIP adapter available like the newer Panasonic phones. Overall, very good value for money

Absolutely delighted with it. I have 4 floors with 5 handsets and the reception is perfect. Good answering machine with it. I probably haven't used all the features but very happy with it.

Delay in delivery as I wanted 5 phones and handsets were awaiting delivery. No problem with that as all delivered together within a couple of weeks. My concern was whether all the phones would recognise the base unit if sold separately. No worries - a phone call from one of the engineers to explain how it would all work soon allayed any concerns I had. Good service. The phones are easy to use and all button control is much like a mobile phone. Setting up phone recognition to base unit is very simple. Place phone in unit and press a button. Easy but do read the manual first. Well like the fact that phone book contents can be copied to other phones. Could do with facility of being able to name phones rather than number them for locational identity purposes but the advantages vastly outweigh the one disadvantage and is quite livable with. Great phones.

The KX-TG 8120 is a versatile phone ...there are lots of useful features and the handsets are comfortable to use. I particularly like the clarity of reception.

I've had these phones for a few days and very nice they are too. Just a note to reviewer below on how to turn off backlight. This bothered me too for a while, but here's the solution. Go to menu items: Settings > Display > Backlight. For here you can set the backlight stay off/on when in cradle or off/on when out of cradle.

My wife and I, both in our late 60s, bought this phone after years of frustration with others. In the end when our last phone packed up we spent a long time looking for a replacement. We came up with this Panasonic and are we pleased we did. It was a dodle to set up, the phone book being particularly good, the sound is great and the screen, if possible, even better. There are things on the phone we will never use but all the basics and more are really good. I must mention the answer machine, which again was very easy to set up and use. Very recommended, as is this company, which delivered on time and can be contacted easily.
