Excellent. Recommended
Mr. Chris Starke
After 5 years trusty service, my old BT cordless were starting to play up, so I decided to replace them. Looking at reviews around the web, Panasonic seemed to be coming up trumps so I dived in and bough this set from Ligo. I am not disappointed. Good delivery time from Ligo too. Phones were easy to set up (after charging all the handsets overnight). Entering phonebook details then copying around the handset is a doddle. One really neat feature is the opportunity to put selected numbers into the shared phonebook and leave a voice 'tag' for each one. Then when one of those chosen people calls, the voice message for that person is heard while the phone is ringing - excellent for when the wife is trying to get the kids tea ready and doesnt want to go to the phone to see who is calling - she instantly knows if its one of the chosen numbers and can decide to take/ignore the call from a distance. neat. Lots of other neat features too and good reception. Expensive, but worth it, especially as yuo can text on them (I had to get NTL to set up caller Id though at £1.75/month).

Panasonic KX-TG 9122 DECT
m khan
We ordered this particular phone because after reading the previous reviews we understood that panasonic had the best phones, although slightly pricey the phone we can say is completely worth it. Apart from the excellent normal functions one expects in a phone-It was easy to install our phone book, the answering machine allows us to check our calls whilst away from the house. It also has a night time function to reduce the sound in case called at night. Personalised ringing tones can also be assigned. The customer service was excellent, we ordered on line and the phone reached us in 3 days. We would gladly recommend this phone and the company to any one.

Best DECT phone I've used...
Ki Waters, Milton Keynes
I have been very pleased with these DECT phones. I can now enter a shed load of names and phone numbers into any handset and then very easily copy them to all of the other handsets. I have heard from other reviews that the category settings do not copy over so have not attempted to use that feature yet. Each handset can be programmed with its own name thereby making address book copying, the intercom and call transfer features, for example, so much more user-friendly. The call transfer and intercom features are great and very easy to use, no more rushing up and down the stairs passing phones around. Call conferencing is also supported, not used that feature yet though. The sound quality of these phones is terrific and even speaker-phone performance is great. Everyone I have spoken to using the speaker-phone says that they can hear me very well, big bonus compared to my previous BT provided DECT phones. The set up of the DECT system is really easy and I found the manual straight forward. There are loads of other great features, SMS, colour screen, etc. That reminds me, the only thing I would highlight to anyone wanting one of these is that when docked, the LCD screen of the phone is turned on and the resulting light may disturb some folk if installed near the bedside. Doesn't worry me but my better-half wants the phone taken out of the dock before lights out. Other than that, I highly recommend the phone.

Panasonic KX-TG9124

At first sight, this is a good phone but there's a couple of niggles which disappoint. First, if you need 3 or 4 handsets, the chances are they will be spaced out far enough for the rather limited range to become a problem. I'm now having to buy at least one, maybe two repeaters to get all the extnesions to work which I didn't need with the BT Diverse product which this phone replaced. Secondly, the display is on dimly all the time the phone is in the charging cradle and it might be too bright at night, depending on how dark your bedroom is. The only way to switch it off is to pull the phone out of the cradle at night.

Very good alrounder
Mr. Kevin Murphy
Excellent phone, does what it says on the tin. Works out of the box, clear sound and easy to set up. Simple to connect my older version Panasonic phones to the base station and then let me copy all the numbers into my new phones. I binned the iDex phones I had bought as you had to add every entry to every phone manually one by one. If they gave you PC connectivity to manage your phone list and allowed you to change the soft keys it would be 5 star no problem. Highly recommended.

Panasonic KX-TG9124 Quad
Mrs. Lynette Bannister
I have used cordless phones, both at home and at work, for about 8 years and when I decided to upgrade to this new Panasonic I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We have broadband through our telephone line but there is no interference or background noise. The handsets are of good quality and I love the way the screen stays on while the handset is in the charger. The large screen is very high resolution and the text and wallpaper is crystal clear and very easy to read. The answerphone messages are clear and there is a date and time stamp on each message. My only minor criticism is that once a new message has been played, you have to remember it is there as there is no indication on either the base station or the handset that you have old messages. Altogether though, I am thoroughly pleased with this purchase and can recommend this phone to anyone. Also, Michael and Lynne at LiGo are wonderful and no question I asked was too much trouble for them to answer, or if they didn't know the answer they would find out. The returns service is excellent as well. Thank you LiGo.

Very good phones

I bought these phones for my 87 year old father and I am very pleased with them. He really likes the audible call facility but it would be better if all handset numbers could be put on this instead of about 20. He found them a bit complicated to use at first but is getting used to them. The instruction manual could be better and is a bit puzzling at times. I would certainly buy the phones again for myself when my slightly earlier models wear out (I'm very pleased with them too). The service from liGo has been excellent and I would definately use this company again.

Quality phone

I bought this phone (x4) to replace a Philips on which the buttons have always been sticky, plus there was no reception in various parts of the house. This Panasonic seems to be a good phone so far - sound quality is great everywhere, it was easy to set up, the display is clear and legible and the buttons have a positive feel to them. The intercom is especially easy, as there's a dedicated intercom button & you can give the phones individual names eg. 'lounge'. Even my husband can use it (which has never happened before). Drawbacks? I don't understand why the shared phonebook seems to be limited to 20 entries, (The individual handsets have much bigger phonebooks but that's not much use if all the entries are on one phone). 2nd problem is I can't work out how to use conf. calling, but that might be me - haven't got to grips with the twiddly bits yet. LiGo delivered very promptly, thankyou.

Great Phones
David
The sound level on our old Philips dect was hopeless and I nearly bought a BT phone as a replacement until I saw a review suggesting sound levels on them were poor too. This phone is more expensive than many, but the sound quality is great and exactly what I was looking for. Paired 4 handsets which was very easy (simply involves placing each one in turn on the base unit).

Good looks, clear sound and feature packed

Having checked out the current range of DECT cordless phones for home at some length, I eventually settled on the KX-TG 9124. It offers a great balance between features and price, albeit that it isn't cheap, with the handsets having evolved to offer the sort of functions normally seen on a mobile 'phone. I was particularly impressed with the standard 'baby alarm' and night call suppression features, together with the options for adding (at extra cost) a Skype link, cordless camera and range extender. The sound quality is excellent, and the very clean information screen provides an at a glance check on the receipt of answerphone calls or text messages after returning home. The menu system is straightforward (and quite extensive), however I think it's fair to say that each manufacturer has their own idiosyncratic menu style to which the user needs to adjust. The options for changing the screen display seem to hold a particular fascination for my partner, and whilst it's possible to upload a personal ringing tone (or indeed any piece of music) to announce incoming calls/events. it's sadly not possible to do the same for the screen 'wallpaper'. If I can find fault, it is but a very minor one. The bright handset screen remains just as bright throughout the hours of darkness, there being no option that I can find to suppress the display. Had I the need of a night light then this would more than suffice, but for now it remains a very minor irritation. And one easily remedied by leaving the handset out of its charger socket as it then goes into power saver mode after a predetermined period, switching off the display. The impressive charge retention period means that it's still ready to go again, eight hours later even before it snuggles back into its charger 'home'. The KX-TG 9124 has, for me, very effectively replaced a 7-year old Panasonic cordless system which suddenly failed, and which by comparison now looks extraordinarily dated. Having used Panasonic 'phones for around 20 years I'm probably biased, but I've already found this an excellent and dependable phone system in the short time I've owned it. It really is as good as the promotional blurb says it is.

A state of the art set-up, and worth paying the extra cash for it. easy to install, and relatively simple to operate. With up to six handsets working off one base station, you can have every room in your home covered.

We bought these to replace an old BT phone that finally gave up the ghost and the difference is amazing. Very clear and crisp and we are very pleased and would recommend to anyone, we would also recommend Ligo for their customer care and for keeping us up to date with delivery information. Thanks very much! |
