Philips CD1354 Quad Dect Phone review

We purchased these phones when our previous cordless phones finally gave up the ghost. We fancied getting four of them so that we had one in every major room.

Physically, the phones look simple, nothing really to distinguish them. There's no fancy designs but the handsets are of a nice, chunky size. What's important is the quality and I'm delighted that the audio is perfect. Conversations are crisp and clear from all over the house. The phones are very easy to set up and the intercom, ansaphone and handsfree functions are also great.

On the downside, sometimes we notice the phones losing their connection (signified by a beep), but they're always back up in a couple of minutes. My only real complaint is about the phone book - I spent ages typing in twenty or so names and numbers only to discover you have to key them into each phone individually. Would have been nice to have a button to transfer the phone book to the other handsets in one press as I now have to put another 60 names and addresses into the other phones when I get around to it.

Generally though this is a good buy made better by an attractive price.

Not easy to program with frequently used numbers as each phone has to be entered seperately which takes hours and is error prone. The voice of the incoming caller is not very loud and a quiet environment is needed.

Otherwise an improvement on the old set which had poor connections to the cradle such that they failed to charge after use.
