I really liked the look/features on the Siemens phone but wasnt sure whether they were worth the money?? Glad to say that after to talking to a gentleman at Ligo about this phone and the other two I had narrowed it down to, I am pleased to say that I luv them. Phone quality is crystal clear, easy to set up and I had six to do, so I was pleased that was easy. They look stylish, better than my old Binatones??? Worth every penny, have already recommended my parents buy new phones, so shortly they will be purchasing soon. Many thanks Ligo for great service all round and the superfast delivery.
Regards Ms. Suzanne Smith

Hi ,
I just purchased the Siemens E455. I returned one of the handsets as I thought the screen was scratched but it was a protective plastic film which I had not noticed. I sent it back to Ligo, They were great and sent it back within a couple of days:no charge! As regards the phone: 1 I have seen one comment about the feel of the keys. I did find them a little awkward initially but I soon got used to them. It is a bit like using a slightly larger style mobile phone. 2 The ringtones are a bit odd but there is an old style phone ring that I am happy with. 3 The SIM card reader was a bit awkward to use. Firstly make sure you copy your mobile numbers to your sim card! As someone else pointed out, set your area code to 0 in bottom RHS and the rest of your area code in the LHS.when setting the phone up. I only managed to get 100 numbers transferred. ..I do not know why as the memory was showing that the phone had 50 entries left. It still saved a lot of work though. I also added H,W,or M after the persons name after the transfer to make it easy to go directly to home, work etc.as it did not store the numbers in quite the same way as my moble. You can also go to a letter of the alphabet directly without the need to scroll through. 4 I have not used the SMS yet but I did think the predictive text was not quite as sure footed as my Sony Erikson…once again you get used to it. 5 I like the simple styling and the rubberised feel of the edges make it positive to hold. 6 The Sender box is a separate unit which means you can place the phones anywhere. 7 The reception is excellent and the sound clear. (I have no way of comparing as this is my first cordless but it works well for me) 8 I like the fact that you can turn off the display light when it’s in its cradle. 9 Although it needs some assembly it really is only a matter of putting in a battery and clipping the back cover into place. 10 I agree with others comments about the manual. It lacks a logical flow but the info is generally in there…somewhere. (I wonder if this was a result of it perhaps being in another language initially?) Overall although they take a little bit of time to set up I would recommend these phones and Ligo was an excellent choice of vendor. Every time I have called I got through to a helpful member of staff quickly. All the best Dave Regards Dave,Bristol

Originally purchased MagicBox DECT phone. Had to return as the reception as very poor. Read a good review in the Sunday Times on the Siemens Gigaset. Very pleased - easy to set up; transferred phone numbers from mobile phone SIM card; good reception; clear sound. Internal call feature useful for ordering a gin & tonic while in the garden, though still waiting for my husband to bring it! Perfect everyday phone.

The name says it all. The phones are gigagreat. Very substantial feel to them and easy to operate after a couple of tries. Glad I chose them and even my techie hard to please son had good words to say about them.

This phone is first class and I am relieved to go back to Siemens after trying out numerous BT branded alternatives that turned out to be useless. This phone is smart, sophisticated, but across all the great features, the best is the ability to send your contact directory to all the other phones within your house. We bought three phones and have easily been able to send alll contacts to each. Superb!

As another person fed-up with BT DECT phones that just don't work it's a pleasure to have the German quality of the Siemens phone. Feels like they will last forever! If you get stuck the helpdesk is amazing too. My only gripe is the lack of mute button... which is helpful if you're working from home on a long conference call and the kids disturb you :-)

We found this phone easy to use. The service from your company was excellent and I would recomend this make and company to friends and family. It's expensive but worth it!
We have yet to use all its features. It does what it says on the box. Regards Yemisi

We had BT phones in the past but they were always a bit flimsy and prone to only lasting 5 mins. Then we saw the Siemens E455 and read its description, also saw reviews telling us how great they were so decided to give them a try.
We have had them for 2 weeks now and they are brilliant, just what it says on the box, robust, sturdy and easy to use. Definitely kid proof, even our 6 year old hasn't worked out the key lock yet. Only small problem was getting the sim card reader to work, was a bit tempremental but got it working in the end. Yes, they cost a bit more than other phones but with all the features and how well made they seem to be you can't argue. I'd rather pay more for these phones and them last than a few quid less for a BT one or similar for it to break just after the 12 month guarantee runs out :) Regards K Francomb

The handsets have to partly assembled when they first arrive which took me by surpise but was very simple. They operate quite like a mobile phone i.e.hold down 1 to hear your voicemail, press the speaker icon to go hands free, etc. Best thing about the system is the range, we live in a 17th cetury farmhouse where the previous Philips system could not cope with 1.2m thick walls but the Gigaset E455 has no problem and clearly shows the signal strength obtained, we are not getting less than 3 out of 5 pips even when 50 metres from the base unit through thick walls. The software is a little slower than I have heard from other systems in putting your call through, that's to say the beeps are slightly leisurely, but you get used to that and its no biggy. The sim reader function I did use for my handset so I have all my frequently used numbers on both my mobile and the E455, no one else in the family has bothered though and I think this may be a little used function for us at least. One thing we do use all the time is sending a text from your E45 handset just like you do on your mobile. Overall an excellent buy, we are very pleased.

I have been using these for a week or so now and I'm very happy. They replaced a similar set by Panasonic that just would not cope with thick Cornish cottage walls. The Siemens phones are great, as reviewed by others and cope well within and outside the cottage. Slightly fiddly to set up and the instructions could be a bit more straightforward, but worth spending the extra pounds for without doubt.

The last phone I bought was a 'best buy' from a well known review company, its peformance was only ever adequate and got worse as it got older. The Siemens E455 is light years ahead.
I looked at the LiGo web site and then spoke to sales, the on line reviews where good and the sales advisor new the product in side out. This confirmed my choice and I ordered, within 2 days the phones arrived and there was enough communication to make me aware of where we where in the process. My whole sales exprerience was a good one, efficient and knowledgeable. The phones exceeded my expecations, they have excellent build quality and feel great in the hand. They are easy and logical to use and I had no problems setting them up and storing names and numbers. After a couple of weeks they are becoming more useful as I explore the features more and more. They are great pieces of kit and I have no reservations in recommending them, if I where to be critical the only area I would change would be a greater selection of ring tones. There are enough, but personally I could only find one that I could live with. Maybe I will find more? All in all a great phone with perfect everyday features and a straight forward answering facility, the perfect balance of technology, quality and price. Regards Neil Lloyd

I purschases a Quad pack Siemens Gigaset E455 SIM Phone and have found it to be excellent. The sim card reader in the base unit works a treat and you can easily copy phone numbers to the each hanset easily. Actually the whole UI of the phone is brilliant making the phone very easy to use. For example in less then a minute you can rename the phone and the name change is picked up by the other phones straight away. Making making internal calls takes two button clicks. Finally the build quality is excellent and the material used make it very robust. The call quality is very good and clear at all times, with the phone having a excellent large colour display.
Overall easily 5 out of 5. Regards Rajesh

The sound is crystal clear, the facility to copy entries to the different handsets is something that I can't now envisage being without, using the phone is completely intuitive, and the build quality feels good too.
It's a bit more expensive than average but well worth every extra penny. Regards Miss.

I am very pleased with my Siemens Gigaset E455 Tril phone now that it is all fitted up. I found the SIM feature to be not very good as it only copied appx half of my numbers into the phone and it took me ages to manually type in all the rest. I liked the fact that one can transfer numbers from one phone to the other thus saving time. The faces of the phones appeared scratched until I realized they were covered in a very tight fitting plastic which was not visible. All in all I am delighted with my purchase and would recommed these phone to anyone.
Regards Lyn

Delighted with this product. Handy hint how to format your UK area codes for sim transfer, International code [00] in top left box then [44] in top right box. National code [0] in bottom left box then [your national code without the first 0] in bottom right box,Enjoy Bill Morris

I have needed a telephone which would work in an outhouse, given both the house and the outhouse have walls over a foot thick. This works exceptionally well. I was prompted to buy by a person who had an old house with thick walls. It was not with confidence that I bought it but it has proved a brilliant solution.

This is a great package with big savings and not to mention free delivery from ligo. It has all the essential features that my wife and I need, particularly the SIM reader function, SMS, and answerphone. The extras are good as well, we make use of the baby monitor frequently to good results. It’s easy to set up the base station (it just needs to be connected to the mains and to the telephone line) and registering the handsets to the base was easier than expected (few steps and clear instructions in the manual). The dust- and splash-proof finish is the best extra on this phone, perfect for families with young children like mine.

These may not be the cheapest phones available but they are worth the extra expence. Audio quality is second to none. The handsets have a good solid feel to them. Dead easy to set up.
I only knocked off one star because they could ring a bit louder! Regards Mark

Bought these on strength of a friends early Siemens Gigaset 120. Build quality not as good as I thought it they were going to be, more plasticky. Ease of use, screen and sound quality is excellent. SIM copy is poorly documented. Ligo service excellent. Kept well informed at all stages. Will use again. Thanks.

I received these phone quickly from Ligo and would have no hesitation in recommending them (either the phones or Ligo).
The handsets are easy to use, set up and have an excellent call quality. My only gripe (and it is a small one) is that the battery cover on the handsets do not fit with a really snug fit. This does not impact on their performance and is a small issue that can easily be overlooked. All in all excellent value handsets with good functionality. Regards Melanie

We bought three phones, the first was priced at £75, absolute rubbish there was feedback from the microphone, we then bought a philips phone at £100. Absolutely great sound quality, but did not like dialing numbers, search for reviews on google and found siemens phone had goos reviews, after receiving it I agree it is a quality phone better than anything else in the high street shops. Could do with a little more volume, but other than that I am perfectly happy.

Having used previous Dect phones from Phillips and Samsung, all of which are now in the bin, it is worth knowing that these phones from Siemens work as you might hope - they are easy to use (worth spending a little time over setting them up), you can hear the caller and be heard clearly (always helps with a phone), and they have some clever touches. They are not the cheapest, but they are worth paying the extra for.

Pleased with this product so far. Particularly
Nice, robust feel to the handsets SIM card reader a good function Good clear sound Nice choice of rings and ring volumes I like the fact that the base station is separate from docked handsets, esp as my line comes into a room where I just don't need a separate handset. Why don't more cordless phones do this? Really nice big clock on face of handset when docked - can read it across a room Otherwise just nice, logical functions. Does what it says on the tin. We were very happy with the product even though it took a while to get here but communication was good. Very happy with the phone - easy to set up, looks good and loads of extras. The only negatives were
1) having to charge for 16 hours before use and having to run down battery completely before charging - a bit annoying with 4 phones and 2) they don't feel as solid as they look - kind of plasticky. Regards RICHARD

Excellent. I bought my previous cordless because it was pretty, but it lacked range and battery life. LiGo recommended this Gigaset and it excels in both departments. It has all sorts of features I cant cope with, and I'd have been happy with something simpler- and cheaper- but for the basic functions I doubt if you could do better.

Really happy with this product the SIM facility is very useful.
Regards zahir Having previously owned BT phones. This is like buying a Rolls Royce compared to a Ford Fiesta. It does everything it states in the description. Outstanding standby time. Easy to use. You are paying a small price for a quality item that cannot be matched. This comapny is the market leader in this technology. Only gripe the phone colour is boring although would highly recommend it.
Regards Mr. Colin Harsent I have had a lot of problems with BT phones in the past and was worried that I would have another bad experience. I need not have, the Siemens Gigaset is very good quality phone. I especially like the SIM transfer and would highly recommend this product.
Regards Ms. Lisa Sims This was a replacement for the BT cordless phones. The Siemens was much more robust with a good hand 'feel' the buttons were easy to use and it's been dropped several times already with no apparent ill-effect. The menus are pretty complex and it takes a careful reading of the manual to get the best outcome. But it's not unlike a mobile phone system and it has nice coloured icons to make it easier. The best feature is the sound quality which is outstanding - the inter-phone calling (between handsets) is very simple to use but texting is not.
Regards Mr. Colm Nugent This was sent in place of the Philips ID937 Quad after 2 months of waiting for my original order to be filled. (Ligo stated supply issues and then were worried about the quality of the manufacturing due to problems in the Philip's China based plant - although I see they still advertise the Philips ID937 for 7 day delivery which I find rather odd). Anyway - this set was suggested by Ligo as comparable product and it is OK. It will not win any design awards (very old fashioned to be honest - reminds me of the early mobiles) but it does what it says on the tin and is very easy to set up and use. Sound quality is good and they feel very sturdy. Handsfree is not great and the very odd predictive text takes a while to get used to - they should have used the same method that most mobiles use. If you are looking for 'wow' then look elsewhere but if you want a simple, sturdy, dependable set then this is for you.
Regards Mr. Philip Cole a great set of phones with lots of features
