I've had the phones for 5 days and can honestly say they are the best home phones I have ever owned. They feel more solid than other reviews would lead you to believe and the charging cradles are quite heavy. Easy to install, and easy to use. If you are a BT 1571 user, a word of caution. Set the answerphone to cut in after ten seconds, anything over this time goes to 1571. I've actually had 1571 turned off; you need to contact BT customer services to do this and it can take up to 24 hours. I wasted several hours trying to find this out on thier website! Well done again BT. The ability to recieve txt messages on my mobile when I miss a home phone call or answerphone message is excellent. Transferring numbers from your mobile to the handset via bluetooth is also quite easy, although a little time consuming. My advice is to put all the numbers you require onto phone 1. You can then transfer this full list to phone 2 in one easy operation. Full marks to Ligo on their speed and standard of delivery, in my case within 24hours!

Fantastic phone. Replacing many useless BT, Motorola, Philips and Panasonic handsets. All with their different good points and all with their faults or failings - non satisfactory.
The SL565 was easy to set up, is easy to use, looks fantastic and has features not found on any other DECT phone.
The Bluetooth feature is a blessing when transferring data from mobiles direct to the phone book - saved hours of typing.
So far I have found nothing that I dislike and everything that I like!

Not the cheapest handsets to buy but Ligo by far offer the best value, and next day delivery.

Great build quality and features from Siemens plus great support, same day answer from an email call logged. Should of read the manual fully first but they were very helpful.

Call quality is amazing over my old DECT Phones, crystal clear. The handsets are very stylish and nice and neat with a good stand with a very small footprint.

Nice touch for me was the mains plug for the stand nice and slim and no big power block so I could get rid of the 4 way in the bedroom running under the bed with a bif power block plugged in for the old Phone. The mains plug is slimmer than a standard 3 Pin plug.

You can also add you own Caller Pictures, Ring Tones and Screensavers nearly all the features of a Mobile Phone. Great for hands free use and also in built Bluetooth so can send contact from my Nokia N95 to the Handset.

Well impressed all round. Highly Recommended both Siemens and Ligo.

With 4 handsets this makes a good domestic phone system. It's well put together, offers clear sound, has a good range of features, and is simple to use. It would be 5-stars except that the documentation, although nicely produced, does not always explain functions in as much detail as would be helpful - e.g. how (if indeed you can - I've yet to discover) can you see a list of recent incoming callers (other than those which were missed calls)? Pricey, but worth it! Ligo were quick to respond to my order; but from date of ordering (Sunday) to delivery (Friday) was rather a long wait!

Excellent all round phones, we are not using all the facilities yet, teenagers customise there own, and infants can use easily, silver navigate button fell off one(poss kid miss use!) easy repaired, all still look and work as new and numbers cannot wear off like other manufacturers. Only critism is that there's no page function from the base like other manufacturers when you've lost 'yes' all 6 around the house--but when you find one its easy to page individual handsets, other manufacturers paging will page all handsets waking everybody up). Excellent service from ligo even when contacted over above fault. Had panasonic previously for many years, ok.

What a cordless phone ststem should be!! Crystal clear sound. Works brilliantly with the 'Plantronics' headset too. Nice touches like being able to divert calls to answer machine, listen to the person leaving the message & then having the option to pick up the call show just how well thought out the user functionality of this phone system is. If only all cordless phones worked this well.

Very happy - big upgrade from the BT synergy we had before. Only criticism is that ring tones are all a bit quiet, even on full volume. Ligo service superb. There was an issue with the order which was quickly and helpfully resolved.

100% excellent piece of very modern, up to date equipment. I have four handsets around the house and all work perfectly. Great thing with this is bluetooth. No loading individual numbers. I just copied my mobile directory straight to the master handset and then sent the directory to the other three phones. Great time saver. Can even send SMS from any handset. Excellent voice quality. Thoroughly recommended. Excellent service from Ligo electronics.

I am very pleased with the quality of these phones so far. Fairly easy to do the basic set-up. 3 handsets were pre-registered to the base at the factory and the 4th had to be manually registered - it took a surprisingly long time for the base to recognise and register the handset - approx 5 mins - and I was just about to call Ligo for advice when the registration finally successfully popped up on the handset. Base station is ultra lightweight and so we have secured it to the shelf with velcro to make sure that the kids don't knock it off.
I set up all the phone numbers in the directory and then transfered them to the other handsets very easily. I set up different ringtones for the kids' friends using VIP status - however whilst the VIP status transfered accross to the other 3 phones, the special 'Latin' ringtone did not transfer with it and I had to redo this manually on each handset which was a bit irritating, in a minor way. We also set up voice patterns for key callers - although these sound very clear, the phone rings normally first before the voice pattern kicks in. We would like to assign pictures to callers but we don't seem to have the cable to connect to the PC.
The handset display is very bright and so I had to turn this off completely in the bedroom as it was like a bright torch in the room at night.
The phones are in the main very intuitive to use - much better than the previous Panasonic set I had (to be fair, these were 5 years old). I am still having problems swapping between calls though - the Call Waiting instructions aren't clear to me - I know how to swap to a new call but I can't work out how to get back to the first caller.
Sound quality is cristal -clear and the basic answerphone is very easy to use and intuitive - haven't fiddled with its set-up yet.
Overall so far an excellent home phone system with plenty of features to explore.

I can't reccommend this phone highly enough. Simple to set up, perfect call clarity and fantastic (simple to use) answer machine. Oh and the ringtones rock! I have searched high and low to find the right phone for my house and this is it.

I used the reviews myself to pick the phones that best suited me. I know that Siemens concentrate on quality, so this and the reviews were the reason I picked this model (Twin version).

However, I notice that these phones are very sensitive to broadband signals, my previous phones were not. Make sure that you use a microfilter if you have broadband in the home!

I also noticed that the base unit seems to already have 3 handsets registered. INT1 is already registered with the one receiver, but you have INT2 and INT3 (maybe this is just on the twin). It is easy enough to de-register these handsets before you register any others. These phones are GAP compatible, so you can register other non-siemens GAP compatible DECT phones.

Apart from that, they are are quality phone and you can link to your mobile via bluetooth to download each entry in turn (once you have linked mobile to SL56 handset).

I hope this helps. I urge you to read the other reviews, as there are other good points to mention.

It is fair to say that these phones are not cheap, I certainly thought long and hard about spending the money. Do I regret it? Not a bit! These phones are worth every penny paid for them. Easy to set up and use, the clearest reception I have ever come across and they look fantastic. Believe me, if I can set these phones up and use them anyone can. It is certainly true that you get what you pay for. The service from Ligo was excellent and I would recommend both them and this product to anyone considering making the purchase. I will certainly be shopping with Ligo again.

I decided to replace my Panasonic phones as they were always a bit quiet and never quite worked properly. I went into my local Comet and bought the most expensive they did - a trio of the BT Synergy 4500s. Got these home and they were soooo bad. Feedback whistles, interference from anywhere in the house, a clicking in your ear when you speak and hissy reception at the other end. I took them back and was amazed by the attitude of the sales manager who reluctantly gave me a refund.

Then I ordered three of the Siemens SL565s and what a difference. Great looking phones, crystal clear sound, packed with features and also - a great unmentioned featured - the base station is not the charger for the first handset and has its own power supply. So you can tuck it away near a phone point and have the phone chargers where you really want them. That saves the cost of a handset for me.

Definitely worth paying a bit more for.

Then there's the Ligo service. I ordered in my Monday lunch break and they were delivered at 9:30 the next morning. Well done guys - great site, great service.

The Siemens SL565 is the best DECT phone I have purchased and offers great functionality and design. Very easy to setup and get going, I orderd the triple pack and they all worked out of the box. In addition, I registered a spare Philips DECT phone that works better than it did when hooked up to the original Philips base station.

The internal function works well with a menu to choose which phone you want to call including the added Philips phone.

Would defintely recommend to anyone looking for a good looking and great quality DECT phone for home or small business.

these phones are superb,they look great and have great fuctions.the charging units are quite heavy so dont move all over the place when you lift it off,great being able to transfer phone numbers between handsets. a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny.and the service from ligo was terrific orderd on the tuesday at 10.30 and delivered next day at 10.00 less than 24 hrs later fantastic service

High quality well made phones with many usefull features. Very clear sound. Dissapointed with phone holders. Cannot wall mount. Connection appears flimsy although no problems so far.Easy to set up and share phone book with all phones. Impressed!

I'm very happy with this phone. Siemens seems to be the only decent alternative to all the crappy Philips and Panasonic phones available at Currys without having to spend £200 or more at Bang and Olufsen.

The sound quality is fantastic and the features are impressive. My only complaint (the reason I gave 4 stars, not 5 stars), is that the Bluetooth vcard transfer doesn't always work. You sometimes have to try 2 or 3 times. Otherwise, great!

Easy to set up and use. Very handy that the handsets only need one conection to a phone socket so you can have them on different floors without the need to run phone extentions everywhere. Also sound and functionaliy are excellent. I could not find a better product.

Bought the gigaset to replace a now-defunct Philips cordless 6-handset phone set. The system has an impressive range, is easy to manipulate, and has an extensive spec. Particularly useful everyday features are: able to use other networks (e.g. Skype: to speak to student-kids, and friends abroad), a large directory, quick-dial, Bluetooth & SMS (both VERY useful), voice-dial, etc. Pricey, though, so will add the other handsets gradually. Recommended.

got these from Ligo, top service from them! thanks. The phones themselves are fab, really nice looking, great lights and features. Worth every penny, blows other DECT phones out of the water, if you got a bit extra cash - get these - they are worth it.

We have only had these phones for a couple of days, but I have to say these were well and truely worth the wait and every penny. They look and feel amazing. The sound quality and the features are also great. This is the best set of phones we have owned and I will be back to place another review in a month. Would highly recommend both phones and liGo for keeping me informed thorought the transaction.
