I've had the phones for 5 days and can honestly say they are the best home phones I have ever owned. They feel more solid than other reviews would lead you to believe and the charging cradles are quite heavy. Easy to install, and easy to use. If you are a BT 1571 user, a word of caution. Set the answerphone to cut in after ten seconds, anything over this time goes to 1571. I've actually had 1571 turned off; you need to contact BT customer services to do this and it can take up to 24 hours. I wasted several hours trying to find this out on thier website! Well done again BT. The ability to recieve txt messages on my mobile when I miss a home phone call or answerphone message is excellent. Transferring numbers from your mobile to the handset via bluetooth is also quite easy, although a little time consuming. My advice is to put all the numbers you require onto phone 1. You can then transfer this full list to phone 2 in one easy operation. Full marks to Ligo on their speed and standard of delivery, in my case within 24hours!

Fantastic phone. Replacing many useless BT, Motorola, Philips and Panasonic handsets. All with their different good points and all with their faults or failings - non satisfactory.
The SL565 was easy to set up, is easy to use, looks fantastic and has features not found on any other DECT phone.
The Bluetooth feature is a blessing when transferring data from mobiles direct to the phone book - saved hours of typing.
So far I have found nothing that I dislike and everything that I like!

Excellent all round phones, we are not using all the facilities yet, teenagers customise there own, and infants can use easily, silver navigate button fell off one(poss kid miss use!) easy repaired, all still look and work as new and numbers cannot wear off like other manufacturers. Only critism is that there's no page function from the base like other manufacturers when you've lost 'yes' all 6 around the house--but when you find one its easy to page individual handsets, other manufacturers paging will page all handsets waking everybody up). Excellent service from ligo even when contacted over above fault. Had panasonic previously for many years, ok.

What a cordless phone ststem should be!! Crystal clear sound. Works brilliantly with the 'Plantronics' headset too. Nice touches like being able to divert calls to answer machine, listen to the person leaving the message & then having the option to pick up the call show just how well thought out the user functionality of this phone system is. If only all cordless phones worked this well.

I used the reviews myself to pick the phones that best suited me. I know that Siemens concentrate on quality, so this and the reviews were the reason I picked this model (Twin version).

However, I notice that these phones are very sensitive to broadband signals, my previous phones were not. Make sure that you use a microfilter if you have broadband in the home!

I also noticed that the base unit seems to already have 3 handsets registered. INT1 is already registered with the one receiver, but you have INT2 and INT3 (maybe this is just on the twin). It is easy enough to de-register these handsets before you register any others. These phones are GAP compatible, so you can register other non-siemens GAP compatible DECT phones.

Apart from that, they are are quality phone and you can link to your mobile via bluetooth to download each entry in turn (once you have linked mobile to SL56 handset).

I hope this helps. I urge you to read the other reviews, as there are other good points to mention.

I decided to replace my Panasonic phones as they were always a bit quiet and never quite worked properly. I went into my local Comet and bought the most expensive they did - a trio of the BT Synergy 4500s. Got these home and they were soooo bad. Feedback whistles, interference from anywhere in the house, a clicking in your ear when you speak and hissy reception at the other end. I took them back and was amazed by the attitude of the sales manager who reluctantly gave me a refund.

Then I ordered three of the Siemens SL565s and what a difference. Great looking phones, crystal clear sound, packed with features and also - a great unmentioned featured - the base station is not the charger for the first handset and has its own power supply. So you can tuck it away near a phone point and have the phone chargers where you really want them. That saves the cost of a handset for me.

Definitely worth paying a bit more for.

Then there's the Ligo service. I ordered in my Monday lunch break and they were delivered at 9:30 the next morning. Well done guys - great site, great service.

Very happy - big upgrade from the BT synergy we had before. Only criticism is that ring tones are all a bit quiet, even on full volume. Ligo service superb. There was an issue with the order which was quickly and helpfully resolved.

The Siemens SL565 is the best DECT phone I have purchased and offers great functionality and design. Very easy to setup and get going, I orderd the triple pack and they all worked out of the box. In addition, I registered a spare Philips DECT phone that works better than it did when hooked up to the original Philips base station.

The internal function works well with a menu to choose which phone you want to call including the added Philips phone.

Would defintely recommend to anyone looking for a good looking and great quality DECT phone for home or small business.

these phones are superb,they look great and have great fuctions.the charging units are quite heavy so dont move all over the place when you lift it off,great being able to transfer phone numbers between handsets. a bit on the pricey side but worth every penny.and the service from ligo was terrific orderd on the tuesday at 10.30 and delivered next day at 10.00 less than 24 hrs later fantastic service

I'm very happy with this phone. Siemens seems to be the only decent alternative to all the crappy Philips and Panasonic phones available at Currys without having to spend £200 or more at Bang and Olufsen.

The sound quality is fantastic and the features are impressive. My only complaint (the reason I gave 4 stars, not 5 stars), is that the Bluetooth vcard transfer doesn't always work. You sometimes have to try 2 or 3 times. Otherwise, great!

Bought the gigaset to replace a now-defunct Philips cordless 6-handset phone set. The system has an impressive range, is easy to manipulate, and has an extensive spec. Particularly useful everyday features are: able to use other networks (e.g. Skype: to speak to student-kids, and friends abroad), a large directory, quick-dial, Bluetooth & SMS (both VERY useful), voice-dial, etc. Pricey, though, so bought the Trio to start with, and will add the other three handsets gradually. Recommended.

At last - a bluetooth connector for a landline. I work from home as a telephone interpreter and this device permits me to have two hands free while working. I searched the net for a long time to find the Gigaset, and am very happy with its performance

I have now had these telephones for about 4 weeks to replace some high end BT phones that had stopped working after only 18 months. They are great to look at and I haven't explored all of the features yet, but data transfer is very good. They are extremely easy to use and the only reason I haven't given them 5 stars is (a) because I think the volume at it's highest level could be a little better, especially on speakerphone and (b) the connection pins stand proud of the base units and you have to be extremely careful when placing or removing the telephones. A bad design. Other than this, they come highly recommended and I am extremely happy with them. Five stars ***** to Ligo for excellent delivery and customer service.

I've been using the trio gigaset SL565 for about three weeks now and have found it works well in day to day use with very good sound quality. There are some very useful features on the set, i.e., transfer of phone directory from handset to handset. However, the Bluetooth included I find is a bit of a false feature - when transferring an address book entry from another Bluetooth device, such as a mobile phone, the Gigaset will only recognise the default number and will reject multi number/ e-mail entries.
Overall, a reasonable product but I feel a bit over priced for features included.

I am delighted with the Siemens Gigaset SL565 Trio Bluetooth Cordless Phone. Although I do not use all the features offered, those that I do use work well. The handsets look good and thier weight feels good in the hand. The screen is clear and easy to read. I have to admit to not setting it up myself, but as a user, I am happy with the producct.

great features like the wake up alarm, different tone rings, bluetooth and intercom buttom so my wife can find me anywhere in the house without shouting up the stairs!!
everyone that comes round goes ....cool phones - i want some!

The product is easy to operate and very good looking. Answering machine is cleverly designed and functions well. The only weak pont seems to be the contact pont between the handset and the base which appears to be a bit flimsy. Otherwise, very good.

Good solid phone with excellent (high) ringing tones. The volume is better than you get with other cheap digital units. Overall a pleasing buy although price is a bit steep.

You have to admire the aesthetics of this phone it is a really lovely looking object. The range is fantastic, We have a very large garden and they work comfortably from one end to the other. Internal features (Handset to Handset, conferencing, listening in, tranferring etc.) are excellent and the whole thing is easy and intuitive to use and set up. Battery life, especially if you select an option to turn off the backlight when off the charger is impressive (but that I must add is with new batteries), just ensure you charge and discharge a couple of times with the new batteries to get the most out of them. All in all very capable and functional DECT phones. I especially like the ability to transfer phone directory enties from one handset to another, and indeed the whole directory. Equally capable is the Voicemail, again easy to use and set up, and you can Delete, Skip, Mark as New etc. Which is really handy if the message you have just read is for another member of the family.

In terms of perhaps the newer features there are some caveats. Bluetooth is excellent for a handsfree headset, however to a certain extent the handsfree capability of these phones negates this requirement a little. You can transfer entries from your mobile phone to the handset via Bluetooth, but with my Nokia I could only do 1 entry at a time which is a little time consuming. It is not possible to send Ringtones and other media .bmp Wallpaper etc. via the Bluetooth connectivity, which was a little dissapointing (You need the Data Cable I assume).

I also considered using the M34 adapter with this phone, but discovered that the outlook integration was not as you would expect, multiple phone numbers (Mobile, Home, Business, M/P/B) under a single Contact name are converted to separate contacts, 1 for each number. Equally when you transfer entries from your PC to the phone, the entries are in the format of Surname, Firstname M/P/B, with the number always in the Home Phone entry of your SL565 Handset directory entry. Also the names are truncated to 13 characters or less.

For Skype connectivity again the solution is a little 'clunky'. You have to Internally dial the M34 USB Device, then select from a menu 'Skype' then assuming you have Skype up and running on your PC, browse your contacts and then make a call. It is a little slow and involves quite a few keystrokes. I actually didnt manage to get this fully functional, but by the time I realised how you actually made calls, decided it wasn't worth progressing further.

Having said that in terms of capable DECT phones, then absolutely very pleased indeed. Ligo seem to be very professional and have been really helpful (I am returning the M34, and one handset which had a button loose).

If you are buying these for Skype and/or Bluetooth, be aware that the premium price may not be quite justified, and it may be worth checking what actually is supported. Having said that, I am happy with the my purchase, despite this.

got these from Ligo, top service from them! thanks. The phones themselves are fab, really nice looking, great lights and features. Worth every penny, blows other DECT phones out of the water, if you got a bit extra cash - get these - they are worth it.

We have only had these phones for a couple of days, but I have to say these were well and truely worth the wait and every penny. They look and feel amazing. The sound quality and the features are also great. This is the best set of phones we have owned and I will be back to place another review in a month. Would highly recommend both phones and liGo for keeping me informed thorought the transaction.
