I've had the phones for 5 days and can honestly say they are the best home phones I have ever owned. They feel more solid than other reviews would lead you to believe and the charging cradles are quite heavy. Easy to install, and easy to use. If you are a BT 1571 user, a word of caution. Set the answerphone to cut in after ten seconds, anything over this time goes to 1571. I've actually had 1571 turned off; you need to contact BT customer services to do this and it can take up to 24 hours. I wasted several hours trying to find this out on thier website! Well done again BT. The ability to recieve txt messages on my mobile when I miss a home phone call or answerphone message is excellent. Transferring numbers from your mobile to the handset via bluetooth is also quite easy, although a little time consuming. My advice is to put all the numbers you require onto phone 1. You can then transfer this full list to phone 2 in one easy operation. Full marks to Ligo on their speed and standard of delivery, in my case within 24hours!

I decided to replace my Panasonic phones as they were always a bit quiet and never quite worked properly. I went into my local Comet and bought the most expensive they did - a trio of the BT Synergy 4500s. Got these home and they were soooo bad. Feedback whistles, interference from anywhere in the house, a clicking in your ear when you speak and hissy reception at the other end. I took them back and was amazed by the attitude of the sales manager who reluctantly gave me a refund.
Then I ordered three of the Siemens SL565s and what a difference. Great looking phones, crystal clear sound, packed with features and also - a great unmentioned featured - the base station is not the charger for the first handset and has its own power supply. So you can tuck it away near a phone point and have the phone chargers where you really want them. That saves the cost of a handset for me. Definitely worth paying a bit more for. Then there's the Ligo service. I ordered in my Monday lunch break and they were delivered at 9:30 the next morning. Well done guys - great site, great service. Regards Peter Ebdon

Very happy - big upgrade from the BT synergy we had before. Only criticism is that ring tones are all a bit quiet, even on full volume. Ligo service superb. There was an issue with the order which was quickly and helpfully resolved.

Excellent all round phones, we are not using all the facilities yet, teenagers customise there own, and infants can use easily, silver navigate button fell off one(poss kid miss use!) easy repaired, all still look and work as new and numbers cannot wear off like other manufacturers. Only critism is that there's no page function from the base like other manufacturers when you've lost 'yes' all 6 around the house--but when you find one its easy to page individual handsets, other manufacturers paging will page all handsets waking everybody up). Excellent service from ligo even when contacted over above fault. Had panasonic previously for many years, ok.

Fantastic phone. Replacing many useless BT, Motorola, Philips and Panasonic handsets. All with their different good points and all with their faults or failings - non satisfactory.
The SL565 was easy to set up, is easy to use, looks fantastic and has features not found on any other DECT phone. The Bluetooth feature is a blessing when transferring data from mobiles direct to the phone book - saved hours of typing. So far I have found nothing that I dislike and everything that I like! What a cordless phone ststem should be!! Crystal clear sound. Works brilliantly with the 'Plantronics' headset too. Nice touches like being able to divert calls to answer machine, listen to the person leaving the message & then having the option to pick up the call show just how well thought out the user functionality of this phone system is. If only all cordless phones worked this well.

Great looking phone. Definately worth spending the extra for the extra functions and looks this phone has over its rivals! I have found it to be easy to use and meets my requirements. Signal strength and sound quality is excellent. Ligo delivered the phones within a couple of days of ordering.

Delighted with my Siemens Gigaset SL565 twin bluetooth phones. Very easy to use, look and feel very classy. Sound quality is crystal clear. Answer machine easy to access even remotely. Haven't tried out all of the features yet as these phones have such a high spec. They come highly recommended.

I'm very happy with this phone. Siemens seems to be the only decent alternative to all the crappy Philips and Panasonic phones available at Currys without having to spend £200 or more at Bang and Olufsen.
The sound quality is fantastic and the features are impressive. My only complaint (the reason I gave 4 stars, not 5 stars), is that the Bluetooth vcard transfer doesn't always work. You sometimes have to try 2 or 3 times. Otherwise, great! Regards George

I have set up my SL565 Twin and loaded my phone numbers - all very easy - have not used bluetooth yet so can't comment. I like the screensavers and the voice announcement of who's calling - great!. Still playing with ringtones etc.

First I should mention the excellent service by Ligo. Top marks to them. Unfortunately the SL565 does not get full marks. Don't get me wrong. This is a good 'phone. It just doesn't come up trumps on all counts. The design is good but the buttons are a bit plasticky and take some getting used to. It's very easy to set up so long as you don't want to transfer contact details via bluetooth. I've tried this quite a few times and eventually gave up and used the tried and tested manual method! I had seen warnings that this was not possible and that a cable was needed. One of the other albeit few bugbears is the volume, or should I say lack of it. I have not found a way of making the 'phone save the volume settings for calls.
All in all I'd give this 4 out of 5. A good 'phone, just not a great 'phone. Regards Eric

Very good once set up - good help from Service department. In a house with Wireless network black box should connect directly to main telephone socket first otherwise you will get bad interference. Then works perfectly. Good blue tooth transfer of contacts from mobile phone. Good features, very clear. a good purchase.

After buying and replacing cheaper home phones I have to say how relieved I am that I have spent that extra cash on what is a quality product. The phones have great functionality as well as looking fantastic. Can highly recommend both the phones and Ligo who delivered quickly with great communication.

Had a good look round before going for this phone ,must say had the phones for about a week and i am very impressed .easy to set up good clear instructions ,if any thing i would of liked the volume on hands free to be a bit higher but apart from that its top of its class.execellent service from ligo orderd phone on the sunday arrived on tuesday morning

On paper this is one of the best DECT phones out there: top quality, bluetooth, data sync, skype connectivity, stylish etc, but the harsh reality is that it does not deliver what users have come to expect from those features.
Firstly the phone looks great and the charging docks are good looking and works very well. I just found the feel of they phone keys like a cheap toy. Quite disappointing for a phone meant to be the best of the bunch. The voice quality is good but the speaker phone functionality is again poor. The callers say I sound distant. even my old £25 cordless phone had better speakerphone quality. Quite disappointing for a phone meant to be the best of the bunch. The data sync requires a not supplied data cable, even though you can connect the phone to your PC via bluetooth, it can't be used for data sync. Impressive phone, great features and good battery life. The only problem I've had is that it doesn't work with my Sony Ericsson bluetooth headset (which works fine with 2 different mobile phones). The gigaset phone pairs with the bluetooth headset fine but it just doesn't work with it. I've read recently that other people have had this problem.

I've been using this item for 24 hours so these are just my first impressions - excellent! I've been using a Gigaset SL100 colour for a couple of years and I'm pleased to say that my existing handset was also excellent. It has registered with the new base station without any problem and also enabled me to transfer my existing contacts without any trouble at all. This morning I have been using the Bluetooth facility on the SL565 and again it has been excellent, accepting voice dialling impeccably. I have not yet transerred any files from my computer and so I can't comment on that particular feature but, so far, a superb start.

The service from Ligo was first class, with great communication and speedy delivery. The SL656 handsets and answerphone are excellent. They look superb (the best I've seen on the market for DECT systems) and everything works really well. Recommended.

Firstly may I say that the service on ordering from the website was exemplary - very fast delivery and the goods were well packaged. As to the phone itself, the setting up process was very easy although the buttons are a little small and it is easy to catch the wrong one. The battery lasts well if you, like me, forget to put it on charge and the alarm clock facility has been extremely useful! I have had some problems with the bluetooth although the transfer of names and numbers went smoothly, I have yet to persuade it to accept a ring tone but as the main purpose of acquiring a bluetooth device was to use my existing headset I am not too disappointed. The headset works perfectly and has been a godsend when folk call as I am crafting/painting. All in all I am very happy with the phone and the ability to transmit the phonebook between handsets saves quite some time.

small neat compact smart phone. Able to do everything asked and a whole lot more when i get the time to read and study the manual. Not the cheapest phone but have favoured Siemens products around the home.

If you have the budget the Siemens Gigaset SL565 is well worth the investment. Being a technophobe of repute(!) the phone is thankfully extremely easy to set up. Most importantly the sound quality and the numerous additional options make the phone extremely easy to use in any environment be you using the phone at home or within an atypical working environment. As with some of the reviews I read before I purchased this phone the only negative thing about this telephone is the recharging recepticle on the recharging pods/phone holders. The charging recepticle is both extremely exposed and appears flimsy/easy to break but careful, sensible docking of the phone should cause no problems.
Finally the impartial advice, great price and prompt delivery from Ligo made for an extremely positive experience. I recommend both the Siemens Gigaset SL565 and the Ligo company to one and all. Thank you Siemens. Thank you Ligo. Regards Julian

Purchased the twin SL 565.
Phones arrived the next day (excellent service from Ligo, as usual) very impressed with the phones, easy to use, fantastic sound quality. The only niggle as an expensive phone I though the handsets were a little plasticy. Other than that highly recommended. Regards tony

Excellent new phones from Siemens. Liked the idea of having a base completely seperate from the phone. I think it is about time that Siemens improved the music on hold though. Very prompt and efficient delivery from Ligo as usual

It's good to be able to keep the handsets and cradles just where you need them and not at the telephone points.

Absolute peach of a phone - intuitive, sleek, clear, great looking - easy to setup. Expensive, yes- but as long as you don't let the kids touch it - it's well worth it. Service from Ligo was great - if I'm ever in the need for telecoms again, then I'll be back - highly recommended.

The Siemens SL565 cordless phones are in our opinion, everthing a cordless home phone should be. They are a delight to use, easy to navigate and flexible. The clarity in sound quality is first class. They are not cheap though,and are a little lightweight , but DON`T let that put you off which is why we gave them 4 stars.

I am impressed with the phone. The bluetooth capabilities are very useful. The quality of every single feature is excellent. Some disadvantages:
1) no support for unicode names in the directory even though it supports vCard 2) the drivers and software has to be collected from various siemens websites and the phone needs the drivers for the USB cable even if you only connect through bluetooth. The software itself looks unnecessarily complicated but it does what it says. Occassionaly the phone is recognised by the software as a different siemens mobile phone. Personally I think the phone is a bit expensive but compared with other phones I suppose the price is reasonable. Having siad all that, overall, the quality and design of the device is excellent, I am very pleased with it and I think it is currently one of the best in the market. Regards none

One of the best handheld units I have used so far. It is very easy to use and a friendly menu system. The quality of digital sound is excellent. Highly recommended. Its basically feels & handles like a 3G mobile phone.

Phone is very good but it isn't easy so far as Im concerned to synchronise with my laptop and download the address book I have on Outlook. Anyone done this? Also the repeater I purchased doesn't twin with the phone...still to be sorted.

LOTS OF USEFUL SERVICES, IF YOU CAN WORK OUT HOW TO USE THEM, ONLY LAND LINE PHONE AVAILABLE WITH VIBRATE ALERT ON GOOD FOR NOISY ENVIRONMENTS IF YOU CARRY THE PHONE AROUND WITH YOU.
OPERATING BUTTONS ON THE SMALL SIDE ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE LARGE HANDS/FINGERS. ALSO NOT VERY ROBUST CHARGING STANDS/CONNECTIONS, TIME WILL TELL HOW LONG THEY LAST IN A BUSY OFFICE/WORKSHOP ENVIRONMENT Regards STEVEN

I love the fact you can hide the ugly box away. It lets out a tiny buzzing noise so don't put it next to the bed. The handsets look very nice. A bit plasticy and the interface is no match for any mobile phone over £50. Sound quality is great. Overall I'd definitely recommend it.

Bought the gigaset to replace a now-defunct Philips cordless 6-handset phone set. The system has an impressive range, is easy to manipulate, and has an extensive spec. Particularly useful everyday features are: able to use other networks (e.g. Skype: to speak to student-kids, and friends abroad), a large directory, quick-dial, Bluetooth & SMS (both VERY useful), voice-dial, etc. Pricey, though, so will add the other handsets gradually. Recommended.

We have only had these phones for a couple of days, but I have to say these were well and truely worth the wait and every penny. They look and feel amazing. The sound quality and the features are also great. This is the best set of phones we have owned and I will be back to place another review in a month. Would highly recommend both phones and liGo for keeping me informed thorought the transaction.
