BT Elements wins
Mr. Jonathan Stagg
The BT Elements phone is certainly durable, easy to operate, and gives a good range far better than the usual household DECT phones. We live in an old farmhouse with thick stone walls but with the antenna box in the right place the phone can travel around the house and maintain signal, which is exactly what we need. The hands-free feature is great, so we can talk and work at the same time. Being able to program numbers and scroll through the list on the screen to call is a perfect timesaver. It's a winner with us.

BT Elements Quad Weatherproof

Received goods when promised. Bit confused about set up so rang helpline who were brilliant and got me completely set up with 10 minutes. So very simple to use. Haven't needed to look at instructions - phone buttons are self explanatory. Highly recommended.

Improved Phone but some badly thought-out features
Paul Lewis (Communications Manager)
I purchased one of these phones for use by my MD, to use around the office and also around the grounds of our site. In the past he has used BT DIVERSE handsets and found that the range was weak in some areas so we were hopeful of the improved range. The range and audio quality appears to be very good, but unfortunately the badly designed chassis has some more dissapointing features. The Torch feature is activated by a large button and this is frequently being knocked accidently and would have been better fitted with a sliding switch or a push button switch with higher resistance. The other downside is that the belt clip, although it appears sturdy offers no flexibility and causes the phone to slip off of the wearers belt when he/she sits down. There isn't even a notch in the clip to help it stop slipping off the belt. This is a major flaw in the design of the belt clip and in truth, the phone would have been better equipped with a swivel 2 piece clip such as those found at theclip.com As there are also no phone cases etc available for this handset, it seems daft that a phone designed for wearing outside and in rugged conditions - can easily just drop of the belt and have no protection against scratches and the elements. On a positive note... well done BT for making a handset with a seperate charger and base. (The base is simply designed as an antenna unit, and cannot be used as a charger). This is a great idea, as it means we can position the base in the most appropriate place, and not have to worry about charging the handset in that same location. Hope this helps you make your decision?

Has it got long Range ?.
Mr. PETER HOWELLS
The phone is of solid construction, and very easy to use. The claim of range of this phone must be without anything in the way, it is no more range than any other cordless phone. So it is let down by its so called up to 1 km, that is the same as saying up to infinity but it is not. So it only gets 2* for its misleading claim.

Super sturdy and super simple!
Mr. Greg Siddons
I bought 3 of these for my factory and warehouse. These are EASILY the most sturdy cordless phones I have ever come across. The range is incredible too. Our premises covers 22,000 feet with machines, concrete walls and dense cardboard stock, but these phones never lose their signal! With zero setup and an idiot proof menu (on a beautifully clear amber display) these are a dream to use. There's even a built-in flashlight operated by a dedicated sunken button! The keypad buttons light up too - which is nice to see on such a robust bit of kit. The charging base (which is NOT the transmitter base) is very clever. No metal-metal contacts to get dirty or corrode here. The charging is done by induction! Same way as many electric toothbrushes charge up. It loses a star on the belt clip however. It's just too short with no grip or spring to hold it tightly to your pocket or belt. To summarise; Great phone - SUPER STURDY, ULTRA SIMPLE and POWERFUL

ROCK SOLID
Mr. denis lynch
The perfect answer for external or as in my case industrial use. This one exceedes all my needs for a solid and robust phone along with easy to use menu and a good range. This is why i will now be ordering 2 more for my department. No more excuses of my phone is not working.

it's alright, it's ok . .
mark t jones
It's ok so far BUT!. . . at first it didn't work with my ADSL filter so that had to be changed, and I'll have to relocate the transmitter as I'm not getting the claimed transeiver range by a long shot! but there's a lot of metal in my office structure so I'll experiment, also I've replaced the supplied batteries as they don't last long enough, they were 550mAh now 1000mAh. So in summing up: Disappointed as always with BT telephone products, I always end up regretting having not bought Panasonic! heh ho.

BT Elements Quad Phones
Mr. J Robert Gray
Having a big and long house with thick farm house walls, conventional digital phones, with the standard 30 metre internal range (which reduces significantly through walls), were broadly useless. The robust BT Elements set has solved our reception problems although sensible positioning of the transmitter is still important. A very useful feature of these phones is the internal calling system that the system offers. Each individual phone comes with its own transmitter which is a little unnecessary and wasteful since you typically only need to use one. However, should you need to extend the range of the phones even further (say in a farm yard environment), it is possible to instruct the phones to receive from one of the additional transmitters which may be closer when the phone rings.

Robust and well made
Mr. Peter Manfield
Excellent product does exactly what BT says it does. If you purchase this product you will need to use it with its OWN base station, if you use it with another GAP base station you WILL NOT get the advantage of the additional range, in fact it will probably only work very near the house.

Trio
Mr. Daniel Rodwell
Nice to handle, good range but battries aren't up to much. For slightly deaf people the volume of the handset and the ring tones aren't as loud as they should be. A little complicated to set up phone number memory and handset doesn't always do what the instructions tell you it should. They work well through the thick walls of my house and will do the job I want them to do.

satisfactory
Isobel W.
I found this package satisfactory. I liked that liGo offered a significant discount AND free delivery. What I didn’t like were the handset features themselves, or at least BT could have improved some features, increasing the size of the phonebook, for instance. Some similarly priced handsets have bigger phonebooks. That said, I maintain that this trio is a good package. It works well for a small family like mine. We keep the base unit in the hallway of our flat, one handset in the kitchen and one for each bedroom. We’ve never gotten the chance to try the unit outdoors, but it certainly is spill proof, our kitchen handset has been in all sorts of spills (including a spaghetti sauce spill) and is unscathed. My teenage daughter complains that the handset isn’t attractive, but I disagree. It’s functional and presentable, and I find it rather minimalist. The torch function is handy, even my daughter agrees.

Worth it

We own a plant nursery and the terrain is very up and down and has many hedges. Although the phone does not perform to 1000m, it does now give us the freeedom to wander nearly the whole of the retail area without losing signal!

Very Good Phone
Anonymous
Having tried 2 other makes of cordless phone, this one is by far the best for coverage. It copes well with the thick walls in our house and also out across the garden. It's a bit clunky but we don't really care now we don't have to stand by the bins shouting (like we did with the old phones). |
