IDECT X1 TWIN DESIGNER PHONE REVIEW

All I can say is that these phones are great. I have used cordless before but unfortunately my previous models died, not iDECT Ihasten to add, and these ones are an excellent replacement. Crystal clear, easy to use and standby and talk time is vastly greater than my last ones. Many thanks.

D Mackie (2nd Jan) asked where to find the user manual for this excellent phone... I'm happy to say that Idect customer service is just as good as their products.
I imagine we cannot add direct links here so I'll describe how to find a copy online: (1) go to the idectonline.com website (2) select the "Products" list at the top of the page (3) on the left you'll see "User manuals" under "Product supports" (4) click on that, select your model from the list, and download the manual. Lovely phone - everything the description said it would be. I assumed that there would be an answering machine within it but there wasn't. However, that was my fault. Very pleased with it

This phone has a fantastic cordless handset, smaller than most but still with an easy to read screen. It is very stylish and modern and is very easy to set up and use. Highly recommend!

The phones look the part and the fuctionality is brillient. However I don't think that I'm that hard of hearing but the volume on the ear piece does not go up that high. Apart from that I can't fault to phone.

Bought these phones to replace my aging handset and was pleased with the whole experience of ordering from Ligo. Phones are nice and much smaller than you think they would be.
My only criticism would be that there is no copy phone book option to the second handset from the first handset, so you have to type in your entries twice. Other than that it's very smart. Regards Kohan Rebeiro

We were looking for some new cordless phones and couldn't decide between 'features' or 'looks'! My partner decided that these looked trendy and matched the house (and also the reviews we read were good) so we ordered them and they arrived the very next day! There were really easy to install and we've been really happy with their quality. The buttons are a little bit tiny but we knew that before we ordered them. We would definitely recommend them.

The Only thing I can fault with this product is the lack of ringer choices, 4 of 6 sound pretty much the same. Apart from that very pleased

We bought this phone because everyone else who had reviewed it said it was a really good phone. I have to say they were right. We have had two twin pack bt phones both of which had broken just after 12 months so we were glad to find something else that does the job and looks good. The service was excellent the goods arrived really quickly I will definatley use this site again.

Good points: Good sound quality, easy to set-up and use and very stylish. Works well with Vonage VOIP system, including caller ID and flashing envelope when voice mails are left. Speaker phone easy to use and clear. Bad Points: Handsets are independent meaning that missed call indicator has to be cleared on all handsets (also phone book has to be set-up on each handset) ; bit of a design flaw.

We have foud the iDECT phone very easy to use and stylish. It is smaller than our previous BT set but with better functioning keys on it. Sound quality is also good, as is the display. Both sets have had considerable use since the purchase and surprisingly neither has been lost/misplaced yet, nor run out of power as readily ( unlike the previous set ). We are very please with the quality of the product and its speedily delivery.

Very nice for the price, especially compared to the old BT phone that these babies replaced. The only possible criticism is that the buttons are tiny so if you have big hands it might be a challenge.

Having just redecorated my house to catch up with this century, this phone certainly looks the part, and best of all, it's not just a stylish looking gadget. The sound is crystal clear; the speaker-phone function is a god-send especially when calling up businesses who put you on hold for long periods. Above all the usability is really simple; all the buttons and options are intuitive which means it doesn't take you long before you become a profficient user.
The only drawback, although not too significant, are the size of the buttons. They are small, and if you've got exceptionally large finger-tips, this may not be the phone for you. Otherwise, a superb product for the price. Regards Mr. Praful Vagjiani

After reading the reviews i decided to buy this phone. I have to agree that the buttons are very small even though i am a woman with normal slim hands. otherwise after two weeks of use i am relatively happy with it's performance. It does all it's supposed to do and has good sharp sound.

Very nice phone and good value. The buttons are a bit on the small side which makes dialing a bit fiddly, but I can put up with this given how stylish they look.

This is a great little phone, excellent sound quality, comfortable to use & no trouble with installation as the extra handset is already set up to operate with the main phone. Not many ringtones but who cares when it is such a great little phone and such a good price. I have no trouble seeing the numbers even at my advanced years!! Ordered from Ligo on a Sunday PM, delivered the following Tuesday AM, so full marks for promptness. Have had the kit only 2 weeks so far but it appears to perform as advertised with good, clear reception. OK, so the buttons are a bit fiddly for the larger hand, but the compensation is a very slick design way ahead of the competition.

Very happy with the buying process, set-up and general functionality of these phones. The phones do exactly what we want them to do - easy to use, unoffensive ring, good price. Handsets are small so must be dextrous when 'dialing' numbers but I wouldn't call this a problem. Would happily purchase from this site again.

I was very pleased with the quick delivery - the phones came on the first day out of the three quoted for delivery. They look great and are a nice shape to hold. Best of all the sound is crystal clear, not like the old BT ones we used to have, which whined every time we picked them up.

It looks the part, and is easy to set up and operate. Other reviews have bemoaned the need to programme each handset separately with a phonebook, but to us that's an advantage. Do your kids phone the same people as you?
The only annoyance is the ringtones; possibly I'm not pressing the right buttons, but they all sound pretty similar, and approximate a strangulated parrot. At least you can't miss them! Regards Mr. John Holland

This is a lovely little phone that fits into your hand very comfortably when speaking, and after a while it is easy to forget that you are actually using a house phone. It is easy to program, and very easy to load and store all your favourite numbers.
The only thing I can say against the phone, is that the ring tones have a lot to be desired, with only 6 different tones that are real boring. Regards Pete

Plug it in, charge it up & away you go. Looks good, nice sound quality and controlled about the same as a mobile phone. I was very pleased with the loud speaker for sharing family conversations.

The phone set up was easy, the instruction manual concise and easy to follow. The only minus point I would add is that some people may find the buttons a little too small.

Having purchased this phone recently, it's design attracted me first, I must say I am pleased with it. I have not had the phone long but the sound quality is good and the volume levels on the phone are satisfactory. This is a very neat looking phone. The only negative thing I can say at the moment about this phone is when installing the batteries it is a little fiddley. I would recommend this phone to others because it is good value for money!

Ligo delivered the order in about 2 days with Initial City Link so was chuffed with that.
Phones look the part unless u have stubby fingers as you will mash 4 buttons at once. Minus 1 star and only 4 stars because you have to enter your phone numbers for every handset you have if you want to use the phone book. This seems daft as you set the time and day and it is stored at the base station which gets transmitted to every handset. Other than that I recommend this phone bundle. Regards Wan

Overall an excellent looking and easy to use phone system. Clarity is superb. The inverse display is both stylish and easy to read its just a shame it doesn't stay illuminated when its on its charging station. There are six ring tones to choose from, a few more would have been nice. The only other negative is that you can't copy the directory to the other handsets. a bit of a pain if you have four ! Intercom system is a great advantage as is the paging system if you mislay a handset. Highly recommended.

These phones have excellent looks. They have a relatively simple setup menu system. They work well. The only problem is that the keys are quite small. Overall view is that are very good.

This phone is very neat and easy to use, with good features, I did have cause to call the help line because after set up it did not work, the help line was excellent, it was my fault, it is important to line up two small circles on the base of the phone when fitting the batteries, 4 stars for the phone but 5 stars for the help line!
