Magic Box Touch Quad DECT review

Fantastic design, sleek and ergonomical. The only criticisms I have is. 1; the blue standby light on the satellite stations is extremely bright, (like having a laser constantly pointing in your eye.)2. You have to enter phone numbers in the address book on each phone. 3) when you miss a call it displays missed call on all stations, but when you acknowledge it on a phone it does not cancel the message on the other stations, for example the phone in my study was displaying 42 missed calls the other day. I don’t do much work in there.

Don’t however let the above put you off, these are really smart looking and easy to use, well built, and look a good deal more expensive than they are. I would say the best looking phone on the market at the moment.

Excellent design of the phones and use-ability, very similar to a mobile phone. The touch sensitive keys are modern and good but you need to be careful, the bright blue light is very piercing especially in the bedroom but a small piece of blacktape solves the problem. I would have prefered an answer phone facility to be built into the unit. A few problems with having to enter the numbers into the phonebook on each of the phone but only takes a few minutes on each, also the problem that each phone shows missed calls and you have to clear each one individually but takes seconds. Nevertheless, the problems aside they are very stylish and cool phones to use and overall I am very satisfied and would buy again.

It has delivered all we asked of it, bit bright in the bedroom at night but a carefully placed book has sorted that out. Although delivery was delayed, I was kept informed - which is the most important thing when buying on line.

There is no mistake that these are very stylish phones. They look great and once you get the hang of the touch pads are very nice to use.
But.......they are pretty basic phones. you need to enter your numbers in each one. My last set of DECT phones had a lot more features and that was 4 years ago, The audio quality is not too good either, they have a horrendous buzz when in use which gets really annoying on long calls. Also the blue led on the base unit is far too bright if you plan to have one in the bedrom. If you want a nice looking set of phones to show off these are the ones, if you spend a lot of time on the phone or regularly use the more advanced features available on other models look elsewhere.

I absolutely love the sleek looks of this phone and the touchpad is great. I have two small gripes. Firstly you cannot transfer the phone book between handsets which means a long job entering names... Secondly the blue LED's on the charging units are far too bright for a bedroom. The only thing to do is take the handset out of the charger. Not an ideal solution. That said I still think they're pretty cool!

These phones will look good in any situation, very sleek and space age. Easy to use and everyone comments on them. The only down side is that you are constantly cleaning the nice shiny face as you have just covered it in ear wax on that last call.

Theses phones are as good as they look!
They are stylish, slim & light.
The choice of ringtones are varied & the screen is easily visable.

Only negative would be the phone book, as you have to type in each item on all 4 phones indiviually.

I would still recommend these phones.

When you get the hang of the touch sensitive surface it works beautifully and looks fantastic. For a contemporary home it has got to be one of the best looking reasonably priced options on the market.
