Siemens Gigaset C460 Quad Cordless Phone

This is a terrific bit of kit. So many phones to choose from but this exceeded my expectations, so well worth the deliberation. Very easy to programme the handsets, it has good all round features. Can't fault it.

Basic, but does the job. Has met all my expectations. Clear sound quality over vast distances, which is alot better than previous dect phone. The only thing I don't like is the internal call facility, as with multiple handsets, rings all phones not just the particular handset you want.

We just moved into our new house and needed four new handsets. This package really caught our eye from the very beginning because it was well within our budget (we were prepared to pay £200 but of course we wanted to spend less if we could). It has all the basic features and some extras, we especially like the phonebook transfer so that we don’t have to worry about which handset has the number that we’re looking for which was our problem with our older set. Another thing that we like is that it arrived very promptly at our doorstep so we were quickly able to set it up and distribute the handsets in various rooms in the house. The range is pretty good, it can reach our second storey without any changes in sound quality.
Somebody mentioned in a review that the polyphonic ringtones are dodgy. They are! We don’t particularly like them and they’re not easy to hear; the mono rings are clearer and far better.
Someone mentioned as well that they’re bulky. We don’t mind the size, really. And I think the size of these give the impression of durability. But since we’ve only had them for a week, we can’t really say if they are as durable as they seem.

This set has the quality one expects from a siemens phone at a very affordable price. Like someone mentioned elsewhere, this is not the smallest phone (a bit bulky compared to some of those ‘designer’ cordless telephones) but you get more features than other similarly-priced phones. I don’t think I’ve seen the SMS function offered at the same price by other brands.
As soon as the bundle was delivered just one day after I placed the order (thanks to efficient service from ligo) I began setting up. After reading the manual I still wasn’t sure of the other handsets were already pre-registered to the base station, so I ended up manually registering the other three handsets. It would be better if they arrived already pre-registered since I bought them as a bundle. But that’s really my only complaint. Otherwise, the quality of this set is top notch and I recommend it for anyone who’s looking for a good home telephone set.

I ordered another phone as I have been extremely satisfied with the original phone I purchased over a year ago, I find it very easy to operate and to send Text Messages it is better than any BT phone I have purchased in the past.

I have used these phones for about 3 weeks now, & for the price they are unbeatable.
They are not your all singing all dancing set, but all i want to do is talk to other people.
What i really like is the ability to send address entries between the two sets.
