Siemens Gigaset C460 IP Quad DECT VoIP

I've been using the Siemens Gigaset IP DECT Phones for about 6 months now, and I don't think anything else gets close to giving you this amount of features, having both PSTN and VoIP capable, whilst not loosing one line.

Previously I used to use Grandstream ATA devices, but there is one huge drawback - if someone else rings in on the PSTN line, while you're on the VoIP, then you don't know.

This device allows both, plus the ability to transfer internally either line.

The setup screens are straight forward and allow most standard SIP type functionality - I use it with an Asterisk server, but I have used it to access various other VoIP providers.

...multi-packs I have found. Initial stumbling with the VoIP set-up, but then very easily doen via the associated webpage and a mac (even!). Vocal quality excellent, features superb. Very stylish, too. Highly recommended.

Order this to use from one phone point. The order was delivered quickly and the price was cheaper than all the other websites I looked at and the service I received was good and quick. The phones are very easy to set up and I was up and running in about 10 minutes. I haven't got the VoIP side working with my provider yet but I haven't spent toomy time on that side. But being able to make a landline call and a VOIP call at the same time is a nice feature.

This is a great phone - the manual was not as helpful as it could have been, but apart from that I thoroughly reccomend them. The VOIP in the end was quite easy to set up. The tech support in India was very good.

2 minute setup for VOIP with online updates for SIP Service Providers as well as firmware updates. Audio quality is first class, clear speakerphone from large distances, and support for upto 6 handsets. Can only support 1 SIP account but you can support multiple SIP accounts via online providers such as voxalot.com

First class product with typical Siemens Quality.

I purchased this product for two reasons: 1) to replace my two aged DECT handsets and 2) to take advantage of VoIP and I have been fully satisfied with this product. Can't recommend highly enough. Siemens have done it again.

The Siemens Gigaset C460 DECT/VoIP phone is extremely easy to use, once set up, good looking and feature rich. Set up on a fixed line is as simple as you would expect, the VoIP service is a lot more complex. First you need to select a provider for SIP Protocol VoIP services, next you need to configure both ends of the connection. This involved a great deal of head scratching as the terminology used in the phone instructions, and those on the provider (SIPGATE) did not match. Eventually it worked perfectly with outstanding quality. It really deserves 5 stars but I nearly marked it down as it is an expensive purchase and the complexity of the set-up meant an hour or so of visiting many sites and comparing similar devices for hints on configuration. A very worthwhile purchase. Now I just have to teach the 'users' to use VoIP rather than fixed line.

This item is working fine in our business. It has also eased the transition from fixed lines to voice over IP, as it can handle both at the same time.
