D Mackie (2nd Jan) asked where to find the user manual for this excellent phone... I'm happy to say that Idect customer service is just as good as their products. I imagine we cannot add direct links here so I'll describe how to find a copy online: (1) go to the idectonline.com website (2) select the "Products" list at the top of the page (3) on the left you'll see "User manuals" under "Product supports" (4) click on that, select your model from the list, and download the manual. Hope that helps :-))

Great phones that look good and have all the requirements you may need of a phone including loudspeaker for those annoying times when placed on hold. Many features with reasonably easy setup, all this for an extremely reasonable price.

Good points
Stylish, easy to set up, can leave off charger for long periods. NO problems so far
Bad points Not so good if your eyesight is poor, display fairly small & numbers/signs on key pad too. Also tells you in manual that 2nd handset will be registered but it wasn't. However it is very easy to register it. Other thoughts Customer service every helpful when 2nd handset wasn't working initially.

Firstly, unsure about what phones I required, I sent numerous emails asking questions, all of which were promptly and fully answered. This gave me confidence in the company. Order was placed and prompt delivery followed. The phone are very modern looking, very Hi Tech and look real well with the blue / white screen. Very light unit and easy to use and operate. No complicated commands to learn. Vey clear when using CLI to see who is calling. A good buy with good service support.

Ease of set-up, good clear instruction booklet; neat size and attractive design. My set is shiney black rather than silver, but I like this.
Bad points None so far Other thoughts The set has functionality which I am unlikely to use, and includes an answer phone that I don't need, but it was easy to deactivate this. For the price you get a lot for your money.

Nice long handset. Pretty.
Bad points size of battery 2/3 aa not standard. Display wraps number so number is not in one line. Display digits small. The design would be better if handset was wider so display could be bigger with bigger buttons. Other thoughts I marked down the sound quality although it is as good as others because I would like it to be louder. Possibly an age thing on my part. Ease of set up was marked down because I thought the battery caps were fiddly should be fitted in the factory. Again younger person with more nimble hands would not find it so fiddly. To end with the purchasing experience was very good as I had faulty goods and they were replaced no problem.

Bad points none Other thoughts This is my second idect x1 and would recommend them to anyone needing a reliable cordless phone.

1. The phone is very easy to set up, open up the pack and plug it in!
2. The delivery was prompt and on time. Bad points Nothing yet, but its too early to comment on Battery and other longevity features.

These arrived on time and well packaged. Exceelent price for digital cordless. Slim, attractive product with excellent functions. I didn't even know I had caller display till I got these phones. Plugged them in, charged them up, sorted! Haven't had a chance to use the phone book facility yet but I'm sure it eill be easy to do. One v smal thing, handsets numbered 2-4 when I only have 3 but it's irrelevant really. They all work well, nice and loud ringer, range not brilliant when I walk into garden etc but fine in the house.

Very pleased with choice of this twin. I already have a twin BT phone with ansaphone but wanted additional sets around the house. This is very stylish and efficient. Easy to set up but I had a problem with the second handset. One call to the helpline phone number resolved it straight away. Recommended.

Wanted set of Quad Digital Phones and was not sure which type to buy. I read various reviews and star ratings for these phones and decided I liked what I read. Since arriving I have found them to be excellent and very clear and all reviews and ratings have been correct. The only reason I have given 4 star instead of 5 stars is because the ring tones are useless but the quality and clarity of these phones more than makes up for the ring tones.
