I've been using the Siemens Gigaset IP DECT Phones for about 6 months now, and I don't think anything else gets close to giving you this amount of features, having both PSTN and VoIP capable, whilst not loosing one line. Previously I used to use Grandstream ATA devices, but there is one huge drawback - if someone else rings in on the PSTN line, while you're on the VoIP, then you don't know. This device allows both, plus the ability to transfer internally either line. The setup screens are straight forward and allow most standard SIP type functionality - I use it with an Asterisk server, but I have used it to access various other VoIP providers.
