Geemarc Telecom Ltd. has over thirty years of expertise in the telecoms industry and is one of the pioneers in the British cordless telephones market. The company specializes in creating high-quality telephones and supplemental accessories for hearing-impaired individuals and other people with special needs. Founded in 1974, Geemarc’s products are recognized for their innovative features and are highly recommended by Audiologists and other specialists. By 1991, the company had become a multinational corporation and their headquarters were subsequently moved to Northern France under the banner of Geemarc Telecom SA (GTSA).
To meet the growing need of hearing impaired phone users, Geemarc introduced their Special Needs division in 2001 to cater to consumers for whom finding the right phone or compatible device was of paramount importance improved clarity, lesser feedback and increase usefulness. The first product under this category was the "Megaphone" amplified phone with bone conduction. Since then, the Geemarc Clearsound Special Needs range has now reached 25 products and growing.
Geemarc is also heavily involved with developing telephones that with amplified ringing sounds but also have a flashing light to indicate incoming calls. Some models even have emergency call facilities with big dial keys for the ease of use. A useful feature in all Geemarc phones is the ability to adjust the ring and receiving volume and tone and provide optimum volume power. Presently, Geemarc phones are available in 25 countries with more areas to be serviced soon.
