finally just what i wanted!

At last, after spending weeks looking for a half decent phone for my home office i finally found it, albeit at a price. I wanted a CORDED, phone with a built in answering machine and hands free. I found a phone fitting the bill for £15 and yes you guessed it, it was c**p! Poor mike and earpiece i had clients telling me they could not hear me on conference calls. I could find phones that either had hands free or an answer machine but not both and most shops tried to sell me a cordless phone (as soon as you hit the hands free the lot falls over!). This phone does the lot, you almost do not need the instructions it is that simple to use, it is clear, the handsfree is great and it even stands up a bit on your desk for easy rapid dialling. I LOVE IT!

The BT Paragon 650 does the functions which it states, but the ring tones are not what we imagined, a normal ringtone would have made it perfect. All in all the design looks good. jlmacd

I, too, bought one of these phones despite reading the reviews regatding the poor choice of ringtones. All I wanted was a good ol' fashioned 'ring-ring' but no, all you get is polyphonic nonsense. HOWEVER, and get this, we suffered a power cut recently and, whilst obviously none of the features on the phone worked due to no power,the line still does. Someone rang the house and guess what the Paragon 650 does......yup, it goes plain old 'ring ring' What a wind-up!! Try unplugging the power supply from yours and ring your number and you will see what I mean. Ringtones aside - it is a great phone though.
