The Summer Sizzles with Doro’s New Skype Products

Skype’s IP telephony programme has over 100 million users, and that number grows bigger and bigger with each day. New communications solutions for Skype are launched quickly but there is still a lack of user-friendly products—a gap that Doro, the Swedish electronics company, wants to fill by launching a number of IP telephony products this summer, adapted to consumers’ various needs.

“The potential for IP telephony is huge, but for many people IP telephony is still synonymous with complicated products, poor sound quality and time-consuming installation programmes. There is therefore a massive need for IP telephony products that look and work like an ordinary telephone,” says Doro’s CEO, Rune Torbjörnsen.

Two of the summer’s hottest new IP products from Doro are the neon-coloured Doro 225ipc “lollipop,” which like its cordless cousin, the 226ipw, is connected to a computer via USB. With the Doro 225ipc, one can bid good-bye to the hassle of using a Skype-compatible headset and call friends all over the world as though one was using an ordinary landline telephone. All you need to do is attach the telephone via USB to your computer where Skype is already installed, and you’re all set to make free calls to anywhere in the world.
