Swindon, UK. - Plantronics, the world’s leading manufacturer of communications headsets, has today launched the MX10 Europe’s first adapter that integrates telephone and PC.

The Plantronics MX10 offers advanced PC/Telephony integration features giving even more choice for call centre and end users looking to converge their telephony systems. It allows users freedom to switch between a telephone call and PC audio input and individually control the volume of each channel with the use of a single headset.

The MX10 ensures optimum sound quality with Plantronics Call Clarity™ and Sound Guard® Plus™. In addition, the unit is compatible with the majority of telephone systems and all Plantronics H series headsets.

Neil Salton, EMEA Marketing Manager comments, ” We have had a great demand for an adapter that allows switching and mixing between 2 separate audio channels. There are a number of applications where this is essential such as dealer room environment, where the stockbroker needs to talk to the client whilst listening to the latest stock market prices through their PC or even for hearing impaired call centre or office workers who use PC screen readers that convert text to speech. MX10 can also be used as a voice recording device, and for call centres, it can be used as a ‘voice saver’ device to play an outgoing greeting to an incoming caller and then switched over to the ‘live’ agent to continue the call”
