VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is revolutionizing how people communicate all over the world as well as how much it costs. New products and innovations are being introduced into the market in rapid succession, each one with specific features and advantages that make choosing the right VoIP equipment quite hard. From among the many choices available, the Linksys CIT200 is a good deal – especially with its primary function as a wireless extension for Skype.

The Linksys CIT200 Skype Phone connects to your computer through USB, and then connects to your Skype application using the DECT standard. The ergonomically designed handset comes in silver finish with a bright and clear screen. Using the Linksys CIT200 Skype Phone is a breeze. You can place and receive Skype calls almost instantly, as soon as you set up the system.

The audio quality of the Linksys CIT200 is excellent and the speakerphone is loud and clear. The CIT20 also allows you to access and manage your Skype voicemail. The CIT200 system is expandable to 4 handsets that can communicate with each other through the intercom feature. The CIT200 is powered by two NiMH batteries providing 120 hours of standby time and 10 hours talk time. Test-runs of the Linksys CIT200 proved that the handset is a reliable and capable DECT Skype phone. Priced at £80, the CIT200 is not the most affordable Skype phone in the market but with its excellent integration of DECT and Skype, the Linksys CIT200 is well worth its price.
